I got power to coil nothing comes out of coil

if you have power to the coil the only things that can be wrong are: -
1. the coil is duff.
2. The HT lead is broken.
3. the plug cap is duff, broken.

Remove plug cap and see if there is a spark from the wire core when the lead is placed near the engine/frame.

If it sparks OK replace the plug cap,. no spark means either the coil or the lead are duff. If you can replace the lead try testing again without the cap. Hope this helps.

Cant get a spark from spark plug

if you have checked or replaced your ignition timing and have power there
trace it back check it from the coil
if no power could be a faulty coil

check for power at the connection to your spark plug lead if its getting power then check it at the spark plug if no power faulty spark plug lead
hope this helps you

Kycle.d.d@gmail.comI have no spark to the plug have changed the CDI. Power to the coil. Yamaha 1982 1100. Help please.

if you have power to the coil, and no spark at the plug, that tells me your coil is fried, but to make sure remove the plug cap from the coil lead, hold it over metal on the head and crank/kick to see if you have spark,if no spark then your coil is toast

Kawasaki zx 6r, no ignition spark from plugs. Coils get 12 v. it seems that cdi is working as griund seems to be cut when trying to star. I have checked the plugs against motor and frame.

check your spark plugs leads
the CDI unit need to be tested for power and make sure that no wires are touching the frame as this could stop your ignition .
the cut off switch could be faulty too .
check all power sources around your motor as a wire could easely burned and earth itself .

Hi, Try checking all your fuses first , if they are fine test the spark plug and its lead, ,possibly change the plug as well if you do that then you will know if its a spark plug problem or a lead and coil issue ,
I had one of those and they are a fun bike to ride , there is not much electrics in them and there is only a few things that can cause it so try this first

Backfire issue

it sounds like you got one of the spark plug leads on the wrong plug, most honda have the spark plug leads numbered 1,2,3,4,no1 is the cylinder by your left knee,no4 is the one by your right knee,if they are not numbered see the length of the leads ,the longest ones go to the outside shorter to the inside cylinders, hope this helps

Engine not sparking from plug changed battery ,spark plugs ,new coil and lead thanks in advance regards danny

Check the kill switches including the side stand switch, with an Ohmmeter. Check the fuses. Check the wiring harness. Are all wires clean and with a solid connection? Any abraded wires? Check the operation of the ignition switch with a volt ohmmeter. Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up?

If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop.

Cant get a spark from ht leads on cb250 motor bike

Be CERTAIN the battery is good. Are all fuses good? Try brand new spark plugs. Disconnect the kill switch on the handle bar. Check the side stand kill switch for proper operation. Have the shop check the CDI ignition.
