you will need to hook up a scan tool, I know many parts stores will loan you one or let you use it in the parking lot, VSC could have something to do with a wheel mounted speed sensor, did you hit something? any noises, try this and see if it goes away
1
Shut off the vehicle's engine and apply the parking brake to protect yourself while working on the vehicle.
2
Open the vehicle's hood and examine the engine compartment. Locate the air filter box mounted to the left of the engine. The air filter box features a black exterior, square in shape, and a large ribbed intake hose.
3
Check all of the small black vacuum lines surrounding the air filter box. Reconnect any disconnected or loose vacuum lines you find.
4
Start the engine and drive the vehicle to clear the "VSC" warning light displayed on the dashboard. If the VSC light fails to go out after driving the vehicle normally, proceed to the next step.
5
Park the vehicle, turn off the engine and set the parking brake. Open the vehicle's hood and disconnect the battery's negative cable for 15 seconds, using an appropriate size socket. Disconnecting the negative battery cable will reset the vehicle's computer and clear the "VSC" warning.
i had a problem with all my lights coming on in my 2006 explore took it to dealer to find out that the battery was dying replaced it and they went away
Sounds like it could be a mass airflow sensor failure. Take your car do your reputable mechanic and have them scan your computer to find out what the error code is, and then go from there. If it says that the mass airflow sensor is offline, I would look to make sure that the connector is properly secured on the air intake hose.
I think you can find the oil drain on the left side of the bike down low on the frame right behind the engine. It's a large diameter hose that plugs onto a stub on the frame. Some are located just below the battery tray and some are lower on the frame down by the rear of the primary case. Drain the oil, change the filter, refill with oil, and you're ready to go.
If you want to change the transmission oil/ primary oil, the drain is underneath the bottom of the primary at the very rear of the primary.
Three quarts of engine oil and a quart of primary/transmission oil.
Your looking at 2.8qts for the engine add another 1/2 quart or so for the filter. Always put a little oil in and then add till full. Use the amounts identified as a guide to how much oil to have on hand. You primary may use 22 - 28 ounces, and your tranny a little less than a quart. so have at least 5 quarts available for a complete fluid change (and filter) and you should be good to go! Hope this helps.
A WEAK CHARGING SYSTEM WILL CAUSE AN ENGINE TO MISS AND CHOKE DOWN AT HIGH RPM. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN 10/08. A BAD REGULATOR WILL CAUSE THE PROBLEM AS WILL A WEAK OR BURNED STATOR
