First thing you need to do is replace the fuse then dissconnect the positive wire from your fan. now warm upp the bike till the fan should turn on .
now if the fuse blows we need to find the short if it doesnt blow you need a new fan.
good luck

My fan fuse keep blowing

Try running new wires direct to the fan and if the fuse doesn't blow then I would suggest your existing wiring is shorting out somewhere. Also, I assume the correct rated fuse is in place.

How do I replace radiator fan

Did you check the fuse? also check coolant switch(it controls the fan). Are you sure the fan is bad?, try connecting 12volts to fan connector,if it runs problem is elsewhere, with key on, check for 12volts at coolant switch( neg lead to frame, red lead to one of the contacts on switch), if no power, check fuse, if i remember right there are 2 fuse boxes, check owners manual for location.

Fuses for radiator fans

First check if the cooling fluid is coming in to the radiator.
Start the bike and after 5-10 min the radiator must be warm and later hot and then the fan must go on. If the radiator is not warm, it can be 1- thermostat is not operating (it does not open and not letting the water go to radiator) or you have an air bubble in the system.
You can check the fan: Connect the radiator thermostat (it is at the right bottom of the radiator) wires with each other and do the key contact, if the fan or fuse is o.k., the fan will start,in this case the thermostat is bad or air bubble - if not, it is the fuse, or bad fan.

My cooling fan fuse on my Honda 2007 VFR keeps blowing. I replace the fuse and the fan runs for several cycles but eventually blows again. The fan appears to be running fine with now apparent slow down or...

The fan motor can be going bad. BUT, check the wiring to the fan along the frame for rubs or brake in the insulation and check the plug for a burnt connection. Any loose connection can cause enough heat to blow the fuse. Check all this. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

VT500 Fan Issue

Using a 15A fuse in place of the 10A fuse is not going to harm your bike's electrical system. The wiring for the fan is no smaller than the wiring found in the other circuits that are protected by 15A fuses.
If you want, you can take the fan motor apart and apply fresh grease to the bushing on each end of the motor shaft. This should restore its performance and reduce the start-up current draw.

1994 honda magna coolin fan wont work whats wrong??

The most common cause is a defective thermal switch (this is what causes the fan to come on when the engine coolant reaches a certain temperature). The switch is threaded into the thermostat housing and has a single wire connected to it. If you simply run a jumper from the wire, to ground - the fan should come on. If so, then the thermal switch is bad. Other possible reasons for the fan to not work are a blown fuse, or a defective fan motor.

2004 F4 blowing fan fuses, relay or fan issue ?

That is likely a fan issue, try to stright wire the fan. hook up the wires stright to the battery pos and Neg post- thru a fuse link, or make your own, using spade type crimp on ends, make a set of wires with one female spade term on the end - get a few fuses and plug the fuse in the spade terms and hook that up to your fan to see if she blows. This may take a few mints. the fan may run longer set up this way.
