you should obtain the service guides for best chances, but it's not too hard on a gl1100.. I have the same motor in my gl1100i (82). There are links to downloadable versions of the manuals. Search for Steve Saunders Goldwing Forums... Then search within for the Goldwing library... If you have no luck, I'll post detailed steps to remove the radiator for a Honda GL100 motor, specific to 1981-1983.
SOURCE: best tires for 1982 GL1100?
Yokohama Speed Line are the best performance for the money. They provide a smooth ride, especially for older bikes without computer tuned suspension. they also stick well to the road, wet or dry, and work best for touring motorcycles, lasting a good long time. Continentals are to motorcycles what Radial TAs are to cars. They are really nice tires, but they are a lot softer, so they don't last as long, certainly for touring. they would be my second choice, because they stick well, and look great.

Dunlop Elite II tire will give you the best mileage and handling If they are still available in your size. MY friends BMW K75rt and my GL1000 both got 40,000 miles before we needed replacement. Before that I got 50,000 out of a pair of Dunlop Tour Elites on a CX500 Honda. I sold that bike with the tires still on it and they looked OK.Unfortunately , I have no experience with the Dunlop Elite III, other than hearing many noise complaints.

SOURCE: how to remove rear wheel on honda goldwing gl1100
Center stand the bike, loosen the rear axle nut, take out the bolt, knock out the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste from your local Honda dealer when reassembling
