I have a 1990 Chevy and I just rebuilt my 78 355 and made it full injection and now it does not want to ideal after I adjusted the rockets and set the timing. I think its something to do with the t.b.i. how do I adjust the ideal on the full injection?

SOURCE: rebuilt engine valves not adjusted.1970,s model

this is easy depends on how many cylinders ,say a six pot ,this has 12 valves ??correct, so what ever you adjust must add up to 13 ,right so with number 12 down number one is up with a gap so adjust it 12+1 = 13 ----11 down adjust number 2 ,,11+2=13 easy
a four cylinder has 8 valves witch add up to 9 ,number 8 down adjust 1 this adds up to 9 ,now nothing could be simpler

There is some adjustment. But you may have something else going on. When the tilt gets old the pivot pins get loose and the holes get egg shaped. If this is what is going on then you might me wasting your time.

OD Slipping on 1990 Chevy Silverado

I suspect that the oil pump is not producing sufficient pressure to do the job. have a pressure test done to check this. It is possible when reassembling the unit that there is a leak in the system (missing-damaged seals ,gaskets ) that is allowing oil to squirt of a join (loose bolts). Recheck the band and clutch pack adjustment now that it has been run.

I am swaping out 1990 4.3 chhevy sport and putting i a 1995 350 chevy

The 1995 350 is a "Vortec 5.7" motor if I remember correctly. You will have to get a throttle body and intake manifold for an older 5.7 liter(early 90's?).The Vortec engines are a sequential multiport injection setup(totally different).

How to tune the carburator on a 87 chevy caprice brougham?

An 87 Caprice shouldn't have a carb from the factory. As far as I know it should have a throttle body injection system. But if it does have a carb the idle screws are sealed with caps that have to be removed before they can be adjusted. They were preset at the factory and the carb would have to come off and be rebuilt. The best thing to do would be to find a good shop that can do it or buy one rebuilt at the autoparts store. Then you only have to set the curb idle, which is a spring loaded screw the bumps against the throttle linkage. Hope this helps.

Is my 1990 chevy 1500, 350 motor fuel injected?

I believe that all cars were required to be fuel injected by the late 1980s in the US. but the only way to be sure is to look at the engine. Is there are big cylindrical dish that looks almost like a tire sitting on the top center part of the engine? if you dont know, try and find the air intake. follow the line past the air filter. When you get to the engine, does it seem to meet with small marker shaped objects, one for each cylinder the engine has? if so, the car is fuel injected. If there is a carbeurator, the dish thing that sits on the top of the engine, the car is not fuel injected

Carborator and vacum hose confustion

1990 i believe had throttle body fuel injection NOT a carb. I can send you information but check the fuses and make sure they are all good I believe the fuel pump fuse is 20amp (yellow fuse) located under the plastic cover on the passenger side of the firewall be careful there are many electric connections there the fuel pump fuse is in a small inline holder

if you find this information helpful please rate me accordingly and let me know if you would like a diaggram of the electric schematic for the fuel pump on the truck and vacuum diagram.
