I HAVE A 1985 K30 6.2 DIESEL 4X4 MILTARY PICKUP

I HAVE TWO BATTERIES AND TWO ALTERNATORS ON THE TRUCK ALONG WITH A PLOW PACKAGE. THE PROBLEM IS THE LIGHT FUSE GETS SO HOT THAT IT BLOWS AND MELTS. ALSO,THE SECOND BATTERY LIGHT INSIDE THE TRUCK STAYS ON. I'LL CHANGE THE LIGHT FUSE AND THE LIGHTS WORKS A FEW MINUTES THEN BLOWS. COULD THE SECOND ALTERNATOR BE WIRED WRONG. WHAT CAN POSSIBLY CAUSE A FUSE TO GET THAT HOT. ITS EVEN STARTING TO MELT OTHER FUSES INCLUDING THE FUSE BOX. PLEASE HELP ME, WINTER IS HERE.

When I started the truck the air bag light stayed on and then I would drive it for a bit. Then the radio would stop working and then the truck would stop running, sometimes a boost would help for a while then she would stop again. I found out it needed a alternator I bought a new one and it was put in by a mechanic. Then it started getting hot and right now it does not run.

The reason the fuse blows/melts is because there is excessive draw. The other alternator could be wired wrong. Check to make sure the wires are correct gauge.

I have a fisher plow every time i move ther plow control up or side to side the vehicle stalls

If your plow is electric/hydraulic then you will have to introduce a second battery into the system and upgrade your alternator to a heavier one. The good news is that GM has the battery kit, it can be found in any diesel truck in a salvage yard or ordered from the dealer. Upgrade your alternator to at least a 70 amp output. If you have a local battery and electric shop they can upgrade your current alternator for a lot less than buying a new or rebuilt one. Hope this helps.

Ele. drawing for 1999 GMC truck have wheel chair lift on back kills the battery

If I understand correctly, the chair lift is killing the battery. Convert the truck to a dual battery system. GM has such a kit including the battery box and cables. It bolts in. It's the same system they use on their diesel engined trucks and a lot of guys who plow snow hook it up to run the plow. It will run off your current alternator and the batteries work on parallel not a series circuit. Hope this helps.

Stalling when going from R to D while plowing snow

It sounds like your draining your battery with all the accessories. It could be a loose alternator belt or that the belt is just getting wet and slipping or your alternator is not up to the job!
Try going to a good auto parts store like Advanced Auto and ask them if this could be the problem. They may be able to swap up your alternator to one that can handle the load!
Good Luck!
