Looking at the engine the larger pulley on the driverside of the engine is sticking and the belt is going across it squealing...the other pulleys are rolling fine. what is the name of the large pulley and what would be causing it to stick?

The biggest pulley on driverside except water pump, is the power sterring pump... maybe you've experienced an hard sterring, do you? check at your power sterring fluid level. if not the power sterring one, if located on driverside top of the engine that is the a/c compressor pulley. to check if the compressor still working just put the hvac selector on defrost or turn on the a/c. if the problem is, you'll probably need a a/c service.
Its either the tensioner or the idler pulley they have bearings in them that lock up when they go bad or they start to sqeek when there going bad
