What kind of oil replaced the Harley Davidson type "c" oil fork ina SS Sprint 350cc?

Fork oil is the same as hydraulic pump oil. Depending on your preference choose a light weight oil, 5-15 will give a soft ride. As the weight numbers go up the comfort level goes down. However, the heavier weight oil provides better handling. A bit of experimentation will varying weights should be considered for the optimal combination of ride comfort and handling. One final note. Always. Purchase a non-detergent oil

V-Star Tune Up

the stuff it came with is just fine. your bike shop where you buy the oil from will give you what they deem best for your bike, oil weights depend on where you are and ride. a K&N airfilter will help it breath better than the standard one but it wont do much for the performance. i have jardine pipes on mine i believe it was re-jetted when the previous owner installed them but i run a standard air cleaner and all is fine.
