I'd say the pullies are misaligned, usually the back wheel axle shifts just enough to cause this.

Ive seen a few of them where the kick start gear rubs on the belt and causes it to shred. if yours has a kick start mech in between the pulleys look to see if the belt has been rubbing.

Hello scottiemathe,
it sounds like your belt path is not tentioned correctly, or the path is not perfectly straight, or you might have the wrong belt on.

i would take a look into those specifically the tension on the belt.

*in addition to this, do you notice the shreading of the belt in climate changes the most?

i look forward to your posts

Keeps popping bulbs. Why?

Could be two things.

Over voltage, in which case you need to visit a dealer to see if the output voltage can be adjusted (usually not).

Vibration could be shattering the filaments. This could be because you are over-revving it?

In either case, you could TRY replacing the bulb with an LED equivalent. They are tougher, have no filaments, and are less sensitive to over voltage (within reason).

Where is the neutral gear

There are no gears on these machines
They are driven by belt and clutch pulleys if the bike is creeping at idle turn down the idle speed at the carberattor other wise it's a twist and drive system.

My honda dylan se125 shredding drive belt

Does the garage know ANYTHING about bikes? I would suggest you check the bearings, as well as the wheel alignment, the wheel should be exactly in line with the frame. Also, try to see if the spacers at either end of the wheel is in the correct place, it could be that the wheel is slightly off-centre, causing the belt to scuff against the side of the "sprocket"

Belt on scooter keeps breakin

Most adults have excellent records of never breaking a belt. Here is the reason why many kids break their belts,--- If you hop a curve, you must let go of the throttle. DO NOT have the throttle on wide open (full open) and hop a curve. If you do when the rear wheel comes off the ground, the rear wheel spins faster. When the scooter lands and the rear wheel hits the ground, you stop the tire from spinning, it will snap the belt. If you do hop a curve, let go of the throttle. When you land give it a little throttle. As you pick up speed then give it full throttle.

My electric start dont work.!

The battery is the key. The starters are pretty durable so make sure you a using a charged attery with good contacts. Also, check the fuses, you may have a blown fuse that wil prevent you from turning the starter.

I have a 50cc moped qt jinlun i just bought anew carb when we start it, it run for a while then just dies as if starved of petrol i know it works by a vacuum it will go down the street for a minute then...

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my understanding, most of these China made scooters uses a vacuum controlled cut-off fuel valve. Vacuum is tapped either from the carb out or intake coupler to activate and allow fuel flow; no vacuum no fuel from tank. Possibilities are:
  • no or little vacuum to allow fuel flow;
  • vacuum controlled cut-off fuel valve faulty.
A workaround is to install a manual cut-off or bypass it entirely.

Incidentally, the 'revs like mad' is a result of slight overflow when fuel first flows to a starved/empty carb bowl.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
