How to change the berings in the front fork (stering) i cant open the big 27 screw on the top. Yamaha TDR 125

well to change the steering head bearings,

firstly you need to take off your headlight or anything thats in the way just to make it a little easier, then you put the bike on a stand and get the front wheel off the floor, un bolt the top yoke (clamp) from the forks, then you MUST un bult that 27 screw on the top of the sterring colum, if you must use vice grips and buy a new bolt/ nut.

when the top half is finaly loose you can pull the handle bars up and the top yoke will come off, and the bottom half with the wheel and forks will also come out with a tap or it might just come so watch yourself and the bike. then you can put new bearings and put it all back together the same way you started.

Fork fluid

If there is no fluid on the fork legs or the wheel the fluid very likely isn't leaking and is OK.
If there is fluid the fork legs need servicing at which time the fluid will be drained and replaced.

Uneven front tire wear

Idoubt your fork fluid levels have anything to do with uneven tyre wear, depending on where you live dictates how your tyre wears,if you live in uk then you tend to turn right more than left therefore wearing the tyre more on the right and reverse this for anywhere they drive on the wrong side of the road.tyre pressures are important... to check the fork fluid level you need to drain the oil into a measuring jug, compare result to manufacturers recommendation.if you are not mechanically competent do not attemt this as you may get hurt as the fork internals are under load from a spring

Can you straighten torqued front forks on a 2002 Yamaha TTR 125 L

you should be able to saporrt bike so front wheel is off the ground   then take a marker and put lines around where the forks meet the triple trees that hold them in place their should be some allen head bolts that u can loosen on front of the triple clamps  once these are loose you should be able  to move the forks back to strait again in line with the handle bars just line the lines up that u put on them earlier and tighten the allen bolts back up    also  when making the lines  make them from left  to right so marker is touching both fork tube and triple clamp   this is only so you get can keep them the same ride hight as before
