All four gauges are wired using common supply and ground connections. Oil, Voltage, Temperature and Fuel. If two gauges are not working and stopped at the same time, then I would start by removing the outer fairing and checking the wiring harness. If gauges stopped working at different times, then it is likely either the senders have gone faulty or the gauges themselves.
Take it to a dealership and have them plug into Digital Technician. They can then tell you what code is causing the lite to stay on. Or you can buy a code reader from Harley for around a hundred bucks and read it yourself. I have one and it works great!
sounds like a bad ground or one of your wire was tightened down on the wire. you may want to remove it again to see if it was plugged up right. while loosening your bolts, check to see if it begins working
