Sounds like your biggest problem is your english. What did the noise sound like and what did the bike do when it started making the noise. We need more of a description.

Hi,
First you must check if your oil lamp is working. Normally after you start your machine and it reaches the minimum pressure above 1 psi, the oil lamp Will light off.
So if you had a problem with your oil pump and it burned you’ll not have information about your lubrication system.
I think you have a problem with your oil pump.
When you open your motor check the color of the pieces when they are blue means that they work with high temperature.
This machine is a good one and if you drive normally it won’t fail.
Please check this and let me know.

I'm trying to reconnect my vacuum lines on my 2008 CBR 1000rr ? Does anyone have a diagram, pics or video?

Why not try the service manual? I got one in a downloadable PDF file format for mine. It's free here: http://www.manualedereparatie.info/en/download/Honda-CBR-1000-RR-Service-manual.html

I have a 1988 Honda CBR 1000 Hurricane and i broke the throttle end off. I am trying to fix it but it wont lay back in the cradle right. Any suggestions?

If your talking about the handle bar end, switch assembly, throttle tube, grip. Hard to find used parts, Look for a doner bike, part it out and send the rest to the bone yard. While your taking it apart, you're also reverse engineering and you'll have boxes of spare parts. Or new parts. I like Bike Bandit.com because they have parts diagrams like everyone, but, they show avalable parts and those that you can't get any more. Others don't show the difference. I hope it helps,

I cannot work out how to change the time on the digital dashboard, can anyone help at all?

Below is a site where you can download a free factory service manual for a 2004 CBR 1000RR. Chances are that you can find an answer in the service manual. Go to the 28th manual in the Honda list. It is a large file. This one doesn't mention Fireblade but some do.

Hi there!

here are some recommended torque for small nuts and bolts:
Torque Specifications of Small Screws
Screw Size/Torque (in.-lb)

2mm 5-7
2-56 6-8
2.5mm 8-10
4-40 10-12
5-40 11-13

6-32 15-17
4mm 18-21

Also, click on the link below and you'll never have to find torque settings for your motorcycle bolts. I use this as a reference all the time.

Brand new Battery discharged

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my knowledge, the only component capable of discharging a battery over your described period of time would be a partial short, not a full short. A full short would cause heating/burning of the wires and the battery wouold go flat in a very short period of time.

Having said the above, the only components that would be the likely culprits would be:
  • regulator (most likely);
  • ignition switch (likely);
  • fusebox (least likely).
The regulator could be suffering from shorted diode(s) and/or regulator transistor while the IGN switch and/or the fuse box could have rusted/corroded terminals, connectors or internal pins.

If the above solution has merit, pls click on my "Ask Me" to explore additional options, postback how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
