Depending on your weight and if you carry a passenger as to the air pressure. I normally run about 14 but 24 if riding 2 up.
Recommended pressures:
up to 150 lbs- 0
each addition 25 rider pounds > 150 lbs add 1.0 lbs
each additional passenger pounds > 150 lbs add 1.5 lbs
each additional 10 lbs of laggage add 3.0 lbs
Max Pressure 35 psi

It should tell you in a service manual, but if I remember corrcetly; I wouldn't put in more than 15-20 psi. Unless you have the H-D rear lowering shocks. You can up tp 50 psi on those.

And if you have aired up and lost oil as you release air several times you're best off getting aftermarket shocks.... shocks without oil don't work well. 10,000 miles is their expiration. They really are a coil over spring with "air assist", where air goes into the oil to stiffen the damping.... not really good engineering. I use Legend Air Suspensions. Great stuff. Lifetime warranty too. I've had great customer service as well.

2001 electra glide classic rear shock length

Harley usually uses a 12.5" shock but that could change from model to model and they don't list "shock length" in their specs. The best thing you could do it go to a dealer or find someone that has a stock bike and measure the front end height and rear shock length. Sorry but that's all I got.

Good Luck

I'm trying to find the PSI in rear shock for 2001 HD FLH

rear shocks recomended pressure is 10 psi for rider weight up to 150 lbs for each 50 lbs extra you can add 1.5 psi extra. do not use an air compressor to air up your shocks, if you do you might blow out the seals you need a little hand pump Harley sells a real nice one.

2003 harleydavidson rear shocks leaking how to check

in the arely forum pages, they say to put soap around the connexctor at the top of the shock. Start with the hoses and check them for cracks. The Harley shocks are known for this problem and is usually in the head of the shcok where the connector installs and can be replaced with new air shock parts for the connector to the shock. Hope this helps. TOm
