Question about 2001 Honda NSR 125 R

Strip start How do you strip starter motor off a honda nsr 125 r?

I could hear the starting motor on my honda NSR 125 spin up, but it was not cranking over the engine. I removed the engine casing to find that the bolts securing the starter ring had sheared off and were rattling around inside the casing, and the starter ring was loose and therefor not engaging with the starter motor. I'm worried about the next step (taking off the generator flywheel to get at the starter ring mountings). Any advice out there?

Take your side fairing off. Undo the left hand engine casing, take off chain guard. Under this there will be a gasket and two 12mm bolts holding the motor in place. Undo these and take the motor off...

Hi Anonymous, and the usual suspects are:
1. Enrichner system plugged, not properly functioning or improperly operated.
2. Fuel overflow.
3. Restricted fuel supply.
4. Gas cap and or fuel tank not venting properly.
5. Plugged slow jet or passages.
6. Inlet system air leak.

sounds like your throttle cable might be frayed or broken, when you pull the throttle and let go does it go back on its own? and can you here a clicking sound when you close the throttle? If you could send me pictures of the carb how every thing goes in and take it apart and take pictures, that would be helpful.

Erhm well yea i was rideing my nsr 125 other day and then it lost power and stoped i checked under the tank and my spark plug was out how could that of happend?

Your spark plug was loose from not being seatewd fully. The compression finally blew it out. With luck you can screw and tighten the spark plug back in. If the threads stripped out you can chase them or if real bad you can install a thread insert.
