On Thumpertalk, according to 4 different owners of stock to slightly modified CRF450s they all posted mid to upper 80s for a top speed.

I have a 450 farm boss 50.2 cc how do i adjust the it will wind out to high speed

sounds like you should check the spark advance before adjusting the carb. As an engine accelerates, the timing of the spark must also adjust to occur sooner during the cycle.

Breaking in crf 450 engine

you pretty much can't hurt this engine no matter what you do but most important for all MX bikes is varied engine RPM speed so don't stay full power for long stretches and don't stay putting around for long periods vary your engine speed and gear selection as much as possible for first couple of tanks of fuel.
Ps - once you have done couple of tanks of fuel dump the oil and refill new - everyone forgets to do this! the more often you dump and replace oil the longer your bike will last without need for repair (FACT)
good luck regards Jamie

My 04 crf 450 is leaking oil out of the air box breather

Hi, Jmattison21 and the usual suspects are:
1. Oil tank/system overfilled.
2. Faulty breather valve.
3. Engine breather hose bent, pinched, kinked etc.
4. Air filter has too much "pre-oil".
5. Crankshaft seal failure allowing transmission fluid to migrate.
6. Blow by drain tube cracked/split or filled to capacity.

Crf 450 front preload adjustment

Hi ...... Any preload and/or damping will be adjustable from the top of the forks (even upside down forks). Anti-clockwise to reduce, clockwise to increase. You may find that a previous owner has increased the 'weight' of fork oil as a cheap/easy alternative to adjustment or aftermarket linear or progressive springs.

Top speed

I have a 2005 CRF230F and I am able to get up to 70+mph without all the aftermarket stuff on it. I hear the 03-08 are pretty much the same and all very indestructable and bad-***. Love my bike, its a great all-around bike (trails, sand, street, track) would never sell it!!!
