It is located between the Intake Manifold on the engine and the Air Breather, which is under the seat. To remove, turn the fuel shutoff valve to OFF. Remove the fuel supply hose from the carb; it may help to leave it in place on the shutoff valve. Loosen the hose clamps that connect the carb to the Air Breather and the Intake Manifold. On the right side of the bike, you will have to remove the cover and cables for the throttle control. The cover should be held on by two small screws. The cables will come out of their grooves, but you may have to work at that a bit.

Like how much cost to change my carburetor on may 1997 Honda nighthawk?

Hi, Gonzalo all depends on how many carburetors you have but for a single carb like on a CB250 on the high side $100 labor $300 for the carburetor for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. What is choke open ? on honda rebel 125 ..... choke sign ? or arrow ?

dear,
choke is basically a knob which is used during the first start of the vehicle in a day, when its too cold it actually delivers some extra amount of gas to the engine and helps deliver a rich mixture of gas.

it is situated near the carburetor or the fuel pump unit.
you just need to press it back for better mileage......

thanx

Honda rebel running very rich, how to fix it?

First, make sure your air cleaner is not plugged or dirty. This will cause a rich mixture. Next make sure the choke is completely off when bike is running. Gas is not leaking past the choke plunger seal. If the mixture needs to be adjusted , it is the screw under neath the carburetor, up front by the intake manifold. Before making any adjustments, count the number of turns IN, before the air screw seats lightly. This should be the factory setting. Call a dealer and find out what the standard setting should be. Start there and make minor adjustments(1/8 turns) till you get the spark plug color you desire.

Honda 250 seems to be leaking gas from somewhere.smells really strong of gas fumes in my gararge.don't know where to start looking?

fuel leak best to start at the tank check around the tank seems for gas residue check you fuel petcock for leaks fuel line leak, carburetor for leaks.
if there is nothing you find externally you may have a stuck float or bad needle seat allowing fuel to seep into the engine cylinders and into the exhaust pipe.

A 2006 honda rebel wont idle unless choke is on it has 200 miles on it and it sat for 1 year ran good before gas is new and clean blew out idle mix screw alredy

Well, you are on the right track. Unfortunately, the carburetor will need to come off and be completely disassembled. Soak all metal carb parts in carburetor cleaner (but not plastic or rubber parts). Then blow everything out with compressed air and hold the jets up to a light source, making sure that you can see through them. That will fix it, I promise.

My Rebel cuts out when i touch the accelarator.... when the engine is really warm its not so bad but its still very temporamental.

Has the bike ever sat for more than about six months without being operated? If so, then the carburetor needs to be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned.
If it has not been in storage for a long time, then there could be water or other contaminants trapped in the carburetor float bowl. To drain the float bowl, first turn the fuel petcock to the "Off" position and then loosen the drain screw on the bottom of the float bowl. Try to catch the stuff that comes out in a clean container, if you can. This way you'll be able to see if there's dirt, rust, or water in the fuel.
Also be sure there are no air leaks between the carburetor and the engine. Check the tightness of the clamps and/or bolts that attach the carb to the engine. Finally, make sure that there is an air filter present inside the air filter box. The lack of an air filter will cause driveability problems.

Choke problem

The answer is a carburetor cleaning. Todays gas is tough on these motorcycles with small carburetors. The ethol attracts water like a sponge and rusts out your carb.
Take it to a Honda shop and tell them to clean the carb, bike will be back to new once its done. As for your flat spot, there's an enrichment screw right in front of the carburetor bowl. Its tabbed so that your limited on adjusting it. If you take a dremel and are very careful you can grind down the tab so that you can turn it all the way around. I've found that once this is done if you turn it all the way in so its litely seated then then turn it back out about 2 and 1/2 times this should get rid of that flat spot.
Good luck!
