Front and rear sprocket teeth are good indicators of maladjusted chains; inspect the teeth to make sure they are meshing well with the chain. If the sides of the teeth are worn, chance are they haven't been seating well with the chain (which probably shows corresponding wear.) Wave-shaped teeth wear is another irregularity that might suggest that you need new sprockets.

After fitting new drive and chain sprockets i still have tight spots

When you fit new sprockets you also have to fit a new chain if you dont your sprockets will wear out very quickly, as your old chain is stretched to the old sprockets.

When do i change the rear sproket

When your chain is worn the sprockets share the damage. If your chain was razor sharp or wearing unevenly: it's time to change : front sprocket (****** side) rear sprocket and use the proper size chain to match. They sell them in sets. It's quite possible only your chain may need to be changed . Inspect the sprockets! If you haven't done so, purchase a repair book for your bike and carry it with you. The information is found on page.... Good Luck, hope this helps!

you need a new chain & most likely sprockets. Motorcycle chains don't stretch evenly.

Chain

Yes. It’s likely that the sprockets are worn. Putting a new chain non a worn pair of sprockets will make the chain wear out faster—and replacing the sprockets without replacing the chain will sear out the sprockets. Do them as a set.
