Yes the Kawasaki KLR 250 has a battery albeit almost as small as a 6 volt battery we all played with in 5th grade science class. The 2002 model uses a 12 volt, 4 AH. FBL4L-A

86 klr 250 wont kick start when cold. will roll start and kick once warm

What type of anti-coolent should i put in my klr 250??
I would use any that are compatible with aluminum engines. You can usually get the jug in a premix or you gan mix your self 50/50.

I want to check the valves on my kawasaki klr 250, to see if they are correctly placed. How do I do this???
the valves are under the camshaft on the top of the head, double overhead cam 4 valve. not sure about the adjustment,

My klr 250 engine just quits when riding, feels like it runs out of gas, restarts right away after stopping.
heat and timing issue. check your cylinder for cracks and your piston/rings for damage.

Klr 250 tacho reading only about half revs
most likely poor electrical earthing clean all contacts.

Makes me think perhaps there is some king of sensor failing that shuts it down. Any ideas out there? I've tried draining the carburator, but NOTHING came out. Maybe that's a clue?
