What is the expected gas mileage for a 2007 suzuki gsxr 600. And does being stuck in traffic for 30 min. or so affect the gas mileage?

It really depends on the country and riding style of the owner.
In the UK for instance, we will be lucky to ride 5000 per year due to the weather. In California I would expect to be able to cover 20000 miles per year.
All you need to do is listen to the engine both when cold, (for rattles and main bearing wear) and hot for smoke etc indicating top end and piston wear.
If in doubt, ask at a Suzuki Dealer local to your whereabouts.

Next time you get fuel write down the mileage and amount of fuel you get. Do the same the next time you add fuel and find the number of miles driven (new mileage minus old) and divide by the amount of fuel usd between fill ups (new gals minus old gals number). Do this for subsequent fuel ups to get a bigger sampling number (more samples = more accuracy) and find an average over time.(results omiles per gallon added together divided by number of samples taken)

A friend wants to sell me his 1992 Honda Shadow 600. What is the fuel capacity, and what kind of gas mileage can I expect?

Hi,
Honda Shadow 600 is an awsome bike. Its fuel capacity is 9.00 litres (2.38 gallons). The average mpg is 62 per gallon.

WHATS THE AVERAGE MILEAGE ON GAS

Fuel mileage depends a lot on the way you ride. Believe it or not, the Sportster and the Big Twins get just about the same mileage. I get 42-45 mpg. on my '94 FXDWG.

2008 RSTD. Supposedly 6gallon tank only gets 130 miles range. Dealer says its designed to only be able to use 4 gallons. What's up with that?

According to the Royal Star Spec Sheet,
It has 5.3 gallon tank and the "estimated" mileage is listed at 42 mpg. So let's be realistic and figure 35 mpg is more inline with reality... and if you're using 4 gallons it would be 135 miles , if you're using 5 it would be 175 miles. You'd want to have some reserve left so figure 4 gallons usable (before you need to fill it again). So the dealer's 4 gallon figure is in the ballpark. The 130 miles per tank, could be improved with how it's driven... but the mileage figures they publish.... I don't know of anyone who can achieve them... Hope this helps with your question. Have fun on that thing!

Gasoline

I think it is the stp octane that is making your exhaust smell. It is a different chemical besides gas going through the system. I think after you do the treatment once you should expect good gas mileage from your bike without another treatment. Isn't it made to clean the system. You don't need it every fill up do you? If you do, I don't think it's work the extra gallon of mileage it it? Wouldn't that equal like $10 per gallon for the stp octane booster, instead of the $4 per gallon we pay at the pump? Also is the stp made for bikes? Hopefully you aren't ruining something in your bike using it.

Real Life experiance, if you ride your bike at high speeds, even with Over Drive engaged, I end up doing about 180~200 miles per 5~5.25 gallons which breaks out to about 36~38 mpg.

Course, slowing it down to 60~65, in OT will get you another 25~35 miles per tank extra. If you need better MPG, suggest the 650 for the job, The litter is solid for rider/passenger, as the 650 is more for the rider only with added mileage clearly in the 40+mpg rating..
