Frozen fuel lines this winter (Dry gas time) do choose right!

This is now the season when you really need to keep your fuel tank at least half full all the time.

The weight of the gallons of gas in the tank will give your car more weight on snowy and ice roads. But you need to add some dry gas to your tank too. But don't just buy the cheap stuff you see in Walmarts or Kmarts.

You need to check the ingredients on the back of the label. Most cheap dry gas is nothing more than an easy dollar for the guy selling it. And on the back it will list this wonder additive called "mineral water".

You need to stay far away from this stuff,If you picture a clear gas line, with ice at one end, gas in the middle, and Mineral water at the other end. Now you have two problems going on in the fuel line and none are moving!

You need to see this ingredient on the back "isopropyl alcohol". This is the only one that will break down water molecules and burn them. Now if you you are in a pinch and don't have any but your line is frozen. Just go to you medicine cabinet and find that rubbing alcohol bottle.

Because it is isopropyl alcohol! Just remember no more than 8oz to a full tank. Plus this will increase the octane of the fuel in your tank

I have a 1989 iroc Camaro 5.7 multiport. just installed a new engine. ok car runs fine I dive it to work and that's about 25 miles. for got to say I also put a new fuel filter and fuel pump in. about 1/4...

If you replaced fuel pump, you should have checked orientation of float to make sure it doesn't hit a baffle or anything.
You can use resistors to see if fuel gage reacts properly to the resistors, 90 ohms is full
0 ohms is empty. The wire colors for sending unit are pink and black. Take connector loose, use resistor between proper terminals, key on. If the gage reacts properly, the problem is in the gas tank.
Use a gage, check proper fuel pressure, 34--47 psi.
As far as pressure in the gas tank, check evap system where applicable or vent tube.

How far in the gas tank does a toro trimmer fuel line need to go -- I assume not very far and not as far down as the filtered gas line, correct?

The gas line with the weighted fuel filter on it should lay across the bottom of it (somewhere near the opposite side) and the purge/return line only needs to enter the fuel tank 1/2" to3/4" to work.

Just wondering if you know how many kilometers you

Every rider and ride is different. It depends on the rider and the type of riding you are doing. High speed riding reduces your range. If it needs tuned up you get fewer kms per tank. If you are hammering it you will get fewer miles, etc.

AUdi A6 gas tank button

There is no button to open the gas door from the inside of the car.  As long as the doors are unlocked, you should be able to push in the far right side of the gas door and the left side will pop open. I too spent hours looking for this non existent button..I went as far as to going back to the car dealership.
