Remove, shorten, replace. Do not just remove. Or, there is a pre-shortened (invisable) aftermarket splash guard available. It's a quite simple operation but do not attempt any modifications or repair w/o a shop manual. I've had very good luck obtaing shop manuals by typing in the search box of Suzuki Bandit 600/1200 shop manual repair manual

a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

How to install splash guards on 2011 ford ranger

Unfortunately, your vehicle may not really appreciate your efforts!
The splash guards are normally installed on the folded edge of the fender well.
Depending on the material your fenders are made of, they may tear off very quickly. :-(
To reinforce the screws, small metal washers may help.
You have not indicated whether these guards will be on the front or rear fenders, or whether you are using the super heavy duty ones that fit only the rear, and hang under the back of the vehicle.
God bless your efforts.

How do i replace the fog light bulbs on a 2006 honda civic

What you will need to do is to get under the front bumper cover of the car. I found it easy to do 1 side at a time so I jacked up one side of the car and that gave me easy access to the slash guard attached to the underside of the bumper cover and underneath of the car. You will need a small flat head screwdriver to pry the inner part of the push plug up (These are what hold that splash guard on) you will need to remove enough of those on 1 side so you can pull the splash guard down far enough to see the back side of the fog light assembly. Reach your hand up there and disconnect the wire from the bulb, turn the bulb a 1/4 turn and remove it. Take your new bulb (I used a LED bulb as I should never have to replace it again), but if you replace it with a halogen be careful to not touch the bulb, I found it easy to put disposable gloves on. Put the bulb in turn 1/4 turn til it locks then plug it in. Replace the push pins that you removed and repeat on the other side. Its not overly difficult just a bit time consuming, but take your time and take care to not damage those push pins. When putting the splash guard back up make sure you are lined up with the holes so that the push plug locks onto the body part of the car, otherwise the cover will not stay up. Hope this helps

Best way to replace stock hoses on the back side of the oil bag on a 2003 heritage softail ,remove fender ,seat battery???

I think the lower part of the rear fender will come off. On the earlier models it would. It's called a "mud guard" or "splash guard". Of course, you'll have to remove the rear wheel to get to the screws.

Good Luck

Where is the battery located on a 1998 Chrysler curris?

It's inside the front drivers' side wheel well. Jack up the car and remove the inner splash guards. There's a splash guard under the battery, and the rest of the splash guard is 2 parts.
It's not necessary, but it might be easier to remove the wheel to access all the bolts/plastic rivets.

Two questions how do you change a low beam lightbulb in a cadillac srx 2005 and why in early morning starts does the same car hesitate to pull away?

1. Remove front wheel well front half splash guard, each side. There are about 2 screws and the guard pulls forward to seperate from the rear half.
2. After removing the splash guard, you can access one screw that attaches the front fascia, each side.
3. Then about 6 plastic push pin type screws along the bottom, underneath.
4. About 5 push pin type screws on the top.
5. Fascia should then simply pull forward. It is a bit bulky and an extra pair of hands is helpful.
6. Then there are 3 screws to remove the headlamp assembly. Unclip the wiring harness.
7. Then 4 screws to remove the bulb access cover plate.

Replace splash guard FAV6800AWW

Disconnect power supply to the washer then insert a plastic putty knife or similar tool in line with the lid seam, as shown, and push in to release the catches on the left and right side.

Once the catches are released, lift the front of the top cover and tilt toward the rear of the washer. Unsnap the splash guard starting in the lower right corner, as shown, then work around the perimeter until the guard is totally free.

Follow the removal steps in reverse order when installing the new splash guard.

Remove lower rear trim beneath tailgate

Easy. First you need to remove the rear splash guards(the plastic pieces located near the tires)
After that, it should be about 6 bolts/clips and they are located in plain view just standing facing the bumper. Then the bumper pulls right out.

Good luck
