FUEL RUNNING OUT OF EXHAUST

If fuel is escaping through your exhaust system to the point that it is dripping it means you have a float in your carb that isn;t closing and your engine is flooding. If your mechanically inclined do a carb job. They sell kits with all of the gaskets floats needles and jets that you need, it's a moderately difficult job with lots of small parts but if you google your carb you can probably find either a you tube or similar video step by step. Otherwise it's a job for your local shop.

Need more power in my '03 suz. vl 800

lots of things work to increase power on the bike. it all boils down to how much do you want to spend for a few more HP or torque? most go the aftermarket exhaust (full exhaust, not just slip-on), high flow air fliter, jet kit (or power commander if fuel injected), etc and are happy with these results. it will never be a **** rocket killer, but then again its only a V-twin. more HP will give you a higher top speed. more torque will give you a faster response off the line. guessing you are looking for more torque, not more HP, but they usually come as a package. as for recommendations, i have none to offer. i will let you decide from the list above, but if it were me, i'd save the $$ and buy a used older sport tourer to compliment this cruiser. when the need for speed arises, jump on the sport tourer and fullfil the need. when you want to ride with a pack of cruisers, then jump on the suzuki and fit right in. i like the early yamaha FZ1 or the honda ST1100 as a sport touring machine. but, if you decide to go the other route, then definately dyno it before the modifications begin. then you can track how much it cost you to get this much more HP and torque. good luck.
