I have a susuki C90 - 2005. The bike will start about 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time bike will not crank over at all or one crank and then stop. The bike will then start sometime in the future sometimes 30 minutes sometimes 8 hours. Does not make for enjoyable riding. Another problem just happend, riding down the road about 30 mph and bike stopped running, lights went out, insturment panel binked and then went blank. The clock even reset to 12:00, so I know all electric went out. After about 30 minutes bike restarted and ran fine for 15 minute ride home. Any idea's I have already had in the shop and they can't fix. Thanks for any comments.

Anyway'Lets see turn the ignition key on so you have dash lights etc, Jog the bike back and forth gently while trying to shift the gears, what you are looking for is the green neutral light to come on on the dash.If this does not work..'. turn the ignition off..'. jog the bike GENTLY WITH THE CLUTCH IN AND WHILE THE BIKE IS STILL MOVING A VERY small amount release the clutch.'turn the ignition back on.'Now pull the clutch in and again attempt to shift the gears and activate the green neutral light. If you cant shift down, shift up, if the green lite blinks youve shifted thru neutral go back the other way. When you get a green light pull the clutch in and start the bike. Other Problems.'. You may have an airlock in the clutch line Take it to dealer and have it bled or get a knowledgable person to help you bleed the line. Is your battery OK. Is your kill switch activated.

I have a 2005 c90. It currently has 3900 KM. Every once in a while it decides not to start like its jammed on compression. It always starts at home but occasionally decides not to start after being.

Hi, Kevin and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

Setting idle

If you have carbs:

http://www.bikebandit.com/2005-suzuki-boulevard-c90-vl1500-carburetor/o/m147639sch503698

Part #60 adjusts both carbs' idle speed evenly.

If you have throttle bodies:

http://www.bikebandit.com/2005-suzuki-boulevard-c90-vl1500-throttle-body/o/m147639sch506971

Part # 14 should adjust the idle speed on both.
