On cars it's quite a bit, up to 30 amps. BUT I don't know, when I was told this is that was for the CAR (both lamps) or if that was per light. It takes alot to fire them up, but once they are going they consume less than a regular incandescent bulb does. Sounds like you know this already though.

How to install HID to honda xrm 125

Did you buy a HID bulb or did you buy the kit with the ballast etc? Usually an HID lamp will come with a ballast and wiring loom which is per fitted with relays etc. you would normally plug this loom into the headlight socket of your bike's wiring and then tidy the ballast etc behind the fairing and replacing your bulb with the HID lamp. If you don't have the loom and ballast they're pretty easy to come by on the auction sites.

I have two HID with Normal lights in it ..while in Low beam both the normal lights light up but when i turn on the HID after 5 mins the bike turns of indicating that there is low battery ... i took the...

common problem with hid's... is the installation your having a power drop... nowadays modern bikes are battery operated due to and dc cdi... if the system detects an amphere drop it will shut down... things you have to checks... battery terminal should be securely tight... check for loose ground lines, negative lines... hid should have its own harness usually comes up with the hid kit... hid positive and negative line should be connected directly to the battery. no alteration, or jumpers should be done... it adds resistance to the wire causing to power drop... secure the hid relay loose relay terminal will result to amphere shortage... MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT YOUR HID POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE LINE TO THE BATTERY TERMINAL... AND NO LINE SHARING... good day!

Need help on the letter

WR stands for wide range if I remember in 1989 there was the YZ250 and the WR250 both two strokes.
The WR was the enduro model with a wide range gear box. low first gear and overdrive in top
The WR four strokes started around 1998, but Im not sure if the gearbox are much different to the YZF.
In australia there is a compliance plate on the headstem with model ID.

Is tere a way i can tame the power of a wr 426...i only want the botom and mid range.the top end power scares me. thanks russ.

Maybe by adding a flywheel weight, but...this engine is made to run strong, either ease up with the right hand, or go for a smaller bore bike.
