I think AF1 had one not so long a go. Go through their used spares, alternatively, only your dealer. I'm pretty sure you could something else to work in the meantime, with slight modification.

Brake light is working but not the tail light?

There are three fuses involved.
There is a 25 amp fuse before the brake switch located in the fuse box under the hood. Then there are two 15amp fuses after the brake switch in the box inside the cabin. One is for the lower brake lights and the other is for the high mount light and the trailer connector.
You would need to know if the 15amp fuse for the lower lights has power when the brake pedal switch is applied.

Tail lights 86 Yamaha maxim xj700

Hi, Darthcannabi before diagnosing any brake light issue always check the bulb and fuse first for integrity a brake light staying on is usually caused by the front brake light switch, which is mechanical, not disengaging. On early models moving the throttle control housing closer to the front brake master cylinder is the main fix. On late models, the switch gets tweaked and needs to be realigned. A brake light that does not come on when the brake lever is applied can be caused by a faulty switch or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. The rear brake light switch is hydraulic and it is extremely rare to malfunction in a closed circuit condition causing the brake light to stay on. Usually, rear brake light switch issues are caused by no brake pedal free play or a sticky rear master cylinder piston. A brake light that does not come on when the rear brake pedal is depressed can be caused by a faulty switch, air contamination in the brake line, or no continuity in the wiring at the switch. How to install a rear brake switch on a 1972 harley ironhead sporster?

Been a long time since I've worked on one of those but the '72 model Sporty has mechanical brakes on the rear. There is a rod that runs from the rear brake pedal back to the rear brake lever on the brake backing plate. The rear brake light switch was a mechanical pull or push type switch. I seem to remember the '72 as being a pull type with a spring that connected in the brake rod and when the rear brake pedal was depressed, it pulled the switch making the brake light come on.

Brake lights not working

Having the sa but haven't replaces the brake switch. The owner's manual for my 99 accord indicates the the fuse is located behind a panel that is viewable when you open the door on the driver's side. There is a panel that you remove (pull off) to expose the fuses. The brake light fuse is the third one from the top on the left. 7.5 A

82 harley sportster brake light

try starting with the bulb. brake light bulbs are dual fillament, meaning you have 2 bulbs in one basicly. if your brake side has blown then the tail light could still work. Or try checking the brake light switches, one on front brake and one on rear brake pedal. to test switches disconect wires and join them together with small bit of wire or paper clip. this will make the light come on meaning you have a bum switch.
if you have only been using the rear brake, that has an adjustable switch, may need to mess with it
