Removing rear 07 turn signals

OK, I may be **** of the year, but how do you get the rear turn signals off the fender? Got it in my hand and can not figure it out. Do they just pop out or is there a trick?

If you look in the base of the signal stalk there is a plastic piece inside that need to be popped out. A small flathead screw driver should do the trick.

Hi my 1995 electra glide the left hand side is not working and the right side is working thanks, petw

Hi, Peter before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. How to remove rear fender on 2004 FXDL

Hi Anonymous, start by removing the seat and disconnecting the battery ground cable, then disconect the the tail lite and turn signal harness at the connector blocks. note you may have to remove some wires out of the blocks, to facilitate fender removal, by depressing the tangs with a small screw driver and a razor blade to pull them back for installation. Turn signal wires will be one of these. Remove fender strut covers, turn signal assemblies will remain on covers. There is a bolt on the inside of the fender up front in the middle also a couple on the sides that go through the struts. Depending on your patience, small hands, skinny fingers, and 1/4 drive flex sockets and extention collection you might be able to perform this delicate operation with out removing the rear wheel, otherwise by blocking up the bike with wood so rear wheel is about 6" off the ground you can remove the lower shock bolts and let the swing arm and wheel gently down to gain easier access to the inside of the fender bolts.Be patient, be carefull, and use common sence is case I forgot something. Good luck

How to remove rear fender?

Remove the seat. Unplug the connector for the taillight and rear turn signals. Stabiliize the bike and remove the upper shock bolts. The job is also easier if you remove the rear tire. Remove the bolts from the fender struts on both sides. Be sure to hold the fender or clamp it place when removing the bolts so the fender doesn't slip out of place and get scratched. Unplug the turn signals from the taillight housing. Pull the wires and connectors through the holes in the struts. Lift the fender out.

I have not removed the turn signals from a model this late. There may be a nut between the fender and the fender strut. You may have to remove the fender to get the turn signals off.

Replacing a front turn signal bulb

look at the turn signal lens, see if there are screws holding them, if they are, remove the screws and remove the signal light assembly, after removing, you can replace the bulb by removing the socket at the back of the lens assembly.
