Electrical I have 14.4 volts at battery but only 12.7 athead light. is that normal?

Yeah no problem, to improve electricle conductivity I recommend soaking the headlight assembly including wiring connections in warm salt water for 3 days

Bike won't rev out

Could be electrical.Bikes that have generator systems need battery induced.Unlike an alternator system,like a car you can jump start and the alternator will run with good spark to fire fuel.Generator type need battery induced,so battery must have correct amperage.Can test battery with a volt or/amp test.See what you have with bike not running,then running need about 20% more volts then the 6 or 12 volt battery states (about 14 volts running on a 12 volt battery.Know your battery life span & know that a new battery that year.Plus generator must keep battery charged.I like to have a good spare and also go for a glass mat battery especially if bike is ridden season related. Electrical. All lights off when key is on.

check inside the ignition switch is clean and makes contact in the on position etc ! may need a new one !

I have a 01 flht the has a problem with the voltage or charging system the bike volt gauge sits around 11 volts at idle but when driving the bike around 2 thousand rpm the volt gauge reads at 14 volts the...

Sounds close.

The faster the engine's RPMs, the faster the alternator spins, causing the voltage to increase.
The voltage regulator (as the name implies), regulates the voltage coming from the alternator, and going into the electrical system.
Factory instrument gauges are not alway accurate, and more so just gives you a rough idea of what is going on.
A better test is to get a DC voltmeter, and connect to the battery terminals and see what's going on.
At idle, should be about 11-12-13 volts.
When the engine is reved, it should never go above 14-15 volts.

Charging system problems

12 to 14 volts. Less if lights are running. So anywhere from 10 to 14 should be ok. If less it should be replaced

The battery is not charging in riding time . Battery new fitted after 300 kms Battery become dead what is the solution for this problem ?

Check the charging voltage at the battery with the engine running, it should be about 14 volts if you have a 12 volt system or 7 if you have a 6 volt system. The voltage should be about 20% above the normal battery voltage with the engine running at about twice the idle speed, to charge it.

What should the average volts be for a 2001 HD UltraClassic?

13.8-14.2vdc should be about normal when riding and the charging system is working properly. Have you checked the voltage regulator?

More likely to be your ignition coils. They heat up and expand this can cause an open circuit which will close up again when it has cooled down. Although, a bad charging system may cause this problem. Check the battery voltage with engine switched off ( approx 12 volts) and with the engine running (approx 14 volts) If you are getting 14 volts then your battery is dead, if you aren't, then your charging system has a fault.

I have a 2001 flhtcui what are the ac reading coming from stator at 2.5k rpm 3k rpm and 3600 rpm. At 2000 rpm I get about 12 volts dash guage reading but at 3000 I get 13.5 to 14 at lower rpm 2000 or so I...

The AC output of the stator should be 32-40 volts at 2000 RPM (16-20 per 1000 RPM). With the battery fully charged, your regulator should supply between 13.5 and 15.0 DC volts to the battery. This should be the reading you get on your voltmeter. It will vary depending on what lights and other equipment you have turned on. Sounds like everything is working fine to me. The gauge is reading the DC voltage at the battery while the engine is running. At 2000 RPM, 12 volts is a little low but, considering the accuracy of the gauge, as long as it doesn't fall below 12 volts, it's about right. You don't ride for extended periods at engine RPMs that low. Then at 3000 RPM, 14 volts is about right. If your bike never ran anymore than 12 volts, your battery would slowly go down. If it goes any higher than 15.0 volts, it will boil the battery. Usually, about 14.3 or so with no load on the system is about right.
