How to drain the coolant?

I'm trying to figure out how to drain or flush my coolant and can't seem to see anything in the manual or a thread here. Are there links to this maintenance function or whatever?

The victory line does not have coolant. The cooler is an oil cooler and it is changed when you change the oil.

There's a drain on the engine, it's the lower water pump bolt on the right side behind the coolant bottle. Look for a socket head screw with a copper washer

Drain plug on radiator came all the way out when draining and doesn't seem to want to go back in

Does the drain plug have threads on it, it isn't broken? Clean the threads. If the hole in the radiator has threads, use a thread chaser to clean the threads.
I can't see anything from here, I don't even know your year--make--model?

How to drain coolant

They do clog up and will not drain. You probably found the drain. Pull the lower radiator hose. If you have access to air and can shoot it up in the hole. This might help you problem.

How do i change my engine coolant sensor

You can change your coolant sensor in a very easy step.

1) Your coolant sensor probably is sumerge into the coolant, therefore if you unplug it your coolant will leak. so drain your coolant first and make sure use a clean bucket to collect it to avoid contamination.

2) There should be a drain plug @ the bottom of the radiator, if not you can simply remove the lower coolant hose

3) Use an appropriate socket or range, domestic use standard and japanese use metric.

4) remove the plug and install a new one. Becareful not to force it, make sure your rance is fully engage on to the socket. Put some anti-seize lubricant on the thread of the new sensor and install but do not over torque, torque figure can be found in manuals or just simply measures the diameter and thread per inch of the nut, material of the sensor then go on line to find the appropriate torque figure.

Hope this helps ...

RE:LIGHT IN DASHBOARD

Exactly what maintenance did you perform 3 weeks ago? There should be a drain at the bottom of the radiator and also on the engine block. The coolant should be drained at both points, refilled with water, drained again. I would do this several times to flush all the detergent out. The exact location of these drains can be found in a repair manual for your Honda. You can also get info @ eautorepair (there is a charge, but I think the site provides lots of valuable info) If you have the owners manual, it should contain some of this info. After the system is flushed out thoroughly, refill w/ 50% coolant, 50% water. good luck! countrycurt0
