If it's liquid cooled, then that grey smoke is more than likely steam ( the head gasket is on it's way out). If it was burning oil, you would able to smell it.

White smoke from exhaust after changing fuilds

Is it condensation or actual smoke? White smoke is associated with diesel mixed in petrol and with quite strong smells. I suspect that it is condensation as water vapor is a by product of combustion and the motor/exhaust will have to warm up to clear it. Check for water droplets at the end of the exhaust to confirm condensation. Burning oil will cause a blueish smoke to emit from exhausts.

2005 pt cruiser grey smoke

Gray smoke can be difficult to diagnose.
Black is usually too much fuel, and white is usually a coolant leak.
You should be adding coolant to the radiator if it is a coolant leak.

White smoke coming out of my yamaha 2008 r6 whenever i start the bike. why is the white smoke coming out ?

Hi, Anonymous your instrument gauges and lights can alert you to most electrical and engine issues they can not warn you about failed engine gaskets or seals so your engine has to resort to old fashion alert methods of colored "SMOKE SIGNALS" here is a breakdown of their meaning:
1. WHITE SMOKE on start-up can is usually caused by a blown head gasket allowing coolant to enter the combustion chamber and may start dripping out of the exhaust pipes or mufflers.
2. BLUE SMOKE on start-up is usually caused by failed valve seals. Smoke that is constant while riding is usually caused by valve to guide and piston ring clearances that have exceeded service wear limits.
3. BLACK SMOKE on start-up is usually caused by too much fuel in the combustion chamber this can be due to air/fuel mixture adjustment too rich, accelerator pump improperly adjusted, faulty choke/enrichner or not in the off position, faulty carburetor float needle and seat, pilot jet too large, fuel injectors leaking, smoke while riding is usually caused by the main jet being too large.
It should be noted that aggressive or abnormal throttle operation will cause these conditions to manifest themselves exponentially.

1999 Toyota Camry grey smoke from exhaust

If it is grey smoke it sounds like steam which sounds like the cylnder head gasket is bust and needs replaced - if it has overheated then the worse case sceanrio is that the cylnder head may need reground or replaced. If the "smoke" is black then its burnuing oil and the seals are bust - much bigger job and more $'s.

Oil is leaking out of my air filter and grey smoke is comming from exhaust

the grey smoke is more than likely the air filter being blocked by the oil, it also sounds like unburnt fuel, check your choke ect to see if its seating properly, give the air filter a clean, then see if any more grey smoke appears (it'll start again when oil clogs it again). also check the exhaust system for a blockage e.g. worn/old gasket ect. change the oil check the colour make sure no gaskets have gone. also put the exact amount in as stated in owners manual (too much oil=too much pressure and can seep through oil ring on piston and leak into air box and make your bike run rubbish. hope this helps, it might not but worth a try.

1.9 dci no power and bluey grey smoke is coming from the exhaust

There are indeed traces of oil coming out of the exhaust. Blue smoke is burning oil. Grey or white smoke is usually coolant/water going through the engine. This can be caused by leaking head gaskets, valve guides depending on the engine, excessive blow-by, etc. Large amounts of oil are not good; and water is even worse. I would look at getting the head gasket replaced. The loss of power is because neither oil or water likes to burn, and once your engine clears it out, it probably runs ok for the rest of the day. Then I'm guessing the next morning, it comes back. This is an urgent fix, because prolonged leakage can damage the engine block, head, or both.
