· It’s best to drain the oil when the bike is properly warmed up, this thins the oil and makes it drain out faster. Remember to park the bike on it’s centre stand on level ground.

Sometimes this can as simple as changing the oil, on other unfortunate times it can be a problem with the transmission, and in rare occasions it can be an electrical problem depending on make on model of motorcycle.

Changing Oil

When you change the oil in your bike or quad make sure you put the right oil in the bike. There are many tips on doing it, i put it on a stand nice level surfece let it drip for 5 mins or more the tighting the bolt on all the way. When it is on very tight fill it up with the proper amout of oil, you would like it to be half way from the top and the bottom.
So go give it a try

Do you have any tips on changing the transmission oil on a 98 1100 RT.(to keep oil from dripping all over.)

I use a 'home made' paper funnel when I change both the gearbox and diff oil. Cereal packets work well!

Changing and Checking oil/

Underneath your fairing on the side of the engine should be a site glass with the oil level showing in it. It has two marks on it, one good and one low. Make sure the bike is level when you check it. I used to change my oil a lot but I slowed it down to about 4000 miles. It is full synthetic motorcycle oil, that is what you want to use. I would change yours now, so you know it is good, then you can keep track of it. Hope this helps.

Looking for tips on changing oil.

No, you just need to remove one and make sure that you drain all the oil. They have to drain bolts, one is usually set a little bit lower then the other one, but it doesnt matter which one you remove as long as you drain the oil completely

Beo 125 service schedule and regular maintenance

I just dropped off my '08 Beo 125 for first scheduled service and left my manual in the seat. Anyone know offhand when the second one is due? Who here changes their oil between services and how often? Any winterizing or storage tips?Your next service would be at 3,108 mi, which is basically just a check of the brake pads, engine oil and ail filter. I plan on doing all much maintenance as I can do myself (I don't want to have fork out $90hr for my dealer to drain the oil and replace the filters),,,
