Question about 2008 Triumph Sprint ST Abs

1 Answer

Part oem numbers

I always have to use bike bandit to find the part by picture then explain it to my dealer. Just wondering how you guys get your official triumph part numbers as bike bandit uses their own numbering system. I need the triumph part numbers for number 38 and 39 in the link below, if you can help, lemme know. 38: GUIDE, CABLE 5577101-001 $2.80 39: SCREW, M6 X 12 M6 X 12MM BLACK 5558911-001 $0.76 Thanks,

Depending on how far away your dealer is, try to get to know them better. I hang out at mine, go on rides with the group and generally shoot the **** with them. Also throw in a hand when they need it. It takes a lot of people to get a rocket off the shipping rack. You will never see a parts book for these bikes. The parts info is all online, and remember Triumph makes mid-year changes so it is also and done by vin number. Plus if you get to know the dealer you get little tidbits, like mine has the Scorpion rep coming in tomorrow, I will be there at 9:30 to check out the gear with him. Nothing like shinny new motorcycle gear to start the day with .

Went to move it out of gear without the engine running and there seems to be a lot of resistance when I started the engine it seemed easier but felt like it was partly in gear and still in neutral.

Hi, Mark for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have nice a day.

I'm restoring a 1981 Suzuki gs850 , I'm pretty

Personally I would locate an illustrated parts manual for your motor and determine if they are interchangeable. Also, check with a Suzuki dealership for interchangeability of the coils. I am a Harley man personally and I would not even think of putting coils on my motor that are not made for it. Bikes are funny creatures and often very unforgiving. Buy OEM parts made for your particiular model motor and you will be very happy. Don't risk it even if there is a chance they are interchangeable. Are you willing to burn up your ignition system for it?

I need to know what the 1992 FZR Yamaha motorcycle chain stock size is? I need a new master link, but I cant find the size on the chain...

: CHAIN(DID50VA7106L
Did brand 50 size va7 means high strenth O ring chain with 106 links. I found this information at bikebandit.com and they selll both the OEM chain and the aftermarket chain both. Ebay motors will beat them sometimes and bike bandit will beat the dealer if your a AMA member ( 10% off ) Pays for my membership every year plues more. you get a great magisize too. and other member benifits too.

Gsf 250 p 1992 bandit manuals

Manuals for the 89-95 gsf 250 bandit are only online due to it being an import bike but most suzuki dealers will print you off the pages that you need and assist you with any information required.

How can i find if a 2001 speedometer (off a Vstar 1100) will fit my 2002 Vstar 100?

Type in both bikes on the bikebandit.com website under OEM parts and make sure you correctly ID both bikes. Then look up the speedometer and see if it has the same part # . Even if it does'nt record the part #'s that you get and then caal bike bandit and if you talk to the right parson they'll interchange it for you. I f they act like they won't then ask want time that you can call to talk with the right person to interchange it for you and they may give yopu another # to call. I have done this and something different happened everytime but I always got the right part in the end.

How to install an engine for a yamaha r1

Installing an engine is not something that can be explained in a paragraph or two. Get yourself a service manual and read it. Haynes manual number 3900 covers the 2000 model YZF, one place you can get it is Bike Bandit.

How good is this bike for long tours?

The bandit 600 would be great for the twists and turns on european roads, but I suspect it might be to uncomfortable for long distances. It's not a touring motorcycle, and it's suspension is a bit stiff to run on long distances.
