Instrument panel bulb removal

Hi Guys, I would like dome advice on removing the turn indicator bulb on the instrument panel on my 2003 T100 Bonneville. I am installing a Kissan Signalminder and need to replace the existing turn signal warning bulb with an LED bulb. I have: removed the four bolts on the front face of the instrument panel speedo cable is disconnected Speedo and Tachometer plastic covers removed I can see the rubber boot on the rear of the instrument panel, but I am not quite sure how to remove this warning light unit to get at the bulb. I believe it pushes through the front of the panel, but does not seem to want to move very far. Thought I would stop and get some advice before I get the pry bars, sledge hammer and mole grips out. Any advise guys?

Push the rubber boot forward from behind and the bulb glass cover should pop out from the front of the instrument panel with a little prying with your finger tip. You don't have to push it far, just enough for the cover to pop out of the lip. Then you will be able to remove the bulb. I then use needle nose pliers to remove the bulb.

How do you change light on instrument panel K 1200Lt

Get a set of spanners and have at it? If you're uncertain in your ability a workshop manual should give you a more detailed procedure. The gauge cluster will need to be disassembled after removal to locate the offending bulb. Use caution as some clusters have damping fluid that can leak out if the cluster is stored in an odd orientation.

How do change back light bulb for a xt 125

Tail light or instrument panel back light? The tail light should be straight forward remove and replace. NEXT - Disconnect the battery! The instrument panel, remove the panel, the gauges will probably have a mount or cover, remove it and the bulbs should be rubber plugs in the bottom of the gauges.

No neutral light

Chances are it will be a blown bulb. These are standard bayonet type bulb available from any car accessory shop.

However changing them is not the best of fun. You will need to remove the screen, then the instrument panel surround. Then you can get the clock assembly out. If you turn it over you'll see six or so small bolts. Undo them, the instrument panel will come apart and then you can change your bulb.

A lot of effort for one bulb mind you so if you can live with it for now............

How do you change a burnt out bulb on the rev. counter on a 1997 Yamaha 1000 YZF?

There are counter sunk mini bulbs on the back on the panel. Most use a screw driver with a half turn, and pull it out.

Yzf 1000r fuel guage light remains on with full tank or empty

An LED bulb will not work with a thermistor style fuel level sensor - it has insufficient current through it to heat the sensor for normal operation.
The problem with the signals indicator is also related to the LED but for a different reason - the LED will only allow current in one direction.
The simple solution is to go back to incandescent bulbs in the instrument panel for these two functions.
