You probably aren't going to find a supercharger for these. Usually you only see superchargers on bikes like Harelys that have a separate tranny and engine case. Otherwise you have to come up with some way to modify, and heavily modify at that, the engine cases to DRIVE the supercharger, so unless you are a hell of a good machinist with even better tools that is pretty much out. Since turboes are driven off the exhaust, the biggest moddifications are done to the header and airbox, which is MUCH less difficult, and thus cheaper.

2005 Honda Shadow Spirit (750) hesitant and sputtering upon first spring ride. Thoughts?

Just sounds like either a jet is blocked in one of the carbs or maybe a spark plug is fouled up.tap the exhaust down pipes with your hand quickly to see which one isn't getting hot to see which ones not running.

My yahama maxim 650 wont full start running but it sounds like it wants too

Hey Nick, unfortunately it could be several things. As Tom Diffin mentioned carb gummed up or even bad fuel from sitting all winter. If your positive the spark plug is firing (pull plug, connect to plug wire, place within a couple mm of a metal bolt, CAUTION: hold with insulated pliers so you don't get shocked, bump starter and watch for a spark) then try a very small squirt of fuel (starting fluid would be great) into the park plug hole and replace the plug. Try to start if the engine fires and then dies you have narrowed it down to carb, fuel or timing. FYI get a motorcycle repair or operators manual that describes how to winterize your bike for long storage (check library, you can read for free and make a photo copy of a page cheap). Keep us updated and good luck.

Battery Trouble! Ducati 749 dark

you need to get a battery tender, and when you put your new battery in it has connections that will stay on your battery and you just plug it in after you are done riding and cleaning her. oh one more thing when you get a new battery you need to charge it for 8 to 12 hours before using it, they are not like a car battery buy it, put it in, and go, you have to charge them up first. The tender should keep you battery charge all winter long. I hope this helps you. One more thing, 749's do not like weak batteries as you have found out. Buy a new one, install a tender and and use it, the battery will last much longer.

Installing new grips

I use hair spray. -Cut the old ones off -Soak the clip-on (left) w/hairspray -Quickly slide grip on and align. Once it is aligned allow it to dry. -Soak throttle tube (right) with hairspray, slid grip on, align, and allow to dry. I guess this is probably a bad time to tell you about the R1 throttle tube (or BRG throttle tube) mod. It's a bigger throttle tube which means less twisting to go WOT. Late model Gixxers are notorious for a long twist to go WOT.

Oil cooler went pop

My oil line blew out the first time I started my bike. I don't know what was the cause other than it might have been blocked. The dealer found no problem or at least didn't tell me about it. It's a good thing that your friend caught it right away, mine was running for over a minute before I walked around to see oil spewing out of the vent.

no problems all good news so im looking into one but not sure what to get a 250 or 450 ive riden Both in a honda and kawi but none of the KTM's yet.. so yea any ome got any advice..gonna be riden in the winter 2 oncei get some studed tires so yea but yea thanksDefinitely try and ride a couple. I rode the 525SX and a 200SX a couple years ago and they were a blast. They do tend to have that Euro handling which is a little different than the Japanese bikes, but you'll get used to it rather quickly. The 525 I rode was slimmer than my YZ, which made it a little difficult for me to grip, but I think they've changed the geometry of the bikes a little bit over the years, and I hear they've gotten most of the suspension bugs fixed. Definitely try and ride some and see what you think.,,,
