I find myself riding home with others and my throttle cable breaks! No power no juice...talk about scary! I am new rider and in 2 weeks have racked up over 800 miles. While impressive the loss of power on the highway was a major scare. I have a 2003 model AutoGlide However the bike did have aftermarket risers put on the handlebars I have my bike being towed to a shop. My question is: What cable part do I need to get for repair because its longer than the standard due to the risers on the bars? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I bought this from great people (private sellers) and I imagine it wore out over time?,You need to make sure that you put a two cable system on the bike. We only have one length of cables. For the pullback risers we route the cables differently. You should contact a Ridley dealer for help with the parts. If you don't know a dealer you may want to get acquainted with the folks at Route 66 Ridley, 414.358.8441,,,

Here is the manual for the Toshiba excite pure. If i understand it correctly no you can not use the HDMI cord to charge but you can use the USB/AC Power cable either in the wall or use the USB only following their recommendations.

How do you change throttle cable on Yamaha big bear 4 wheeler

Remove the bodywork to gain access to the carb. Lay out the new cable in the same routing as the old. Compare the two to make sure the replacement is correct. Disconnect the old cable at both ends and connect the new cable the same way and routing that you've found the old one.
with the engine off, set the tension to remove excess slack, and check for smooth open and closing action. you must make sure it closes the carb butterfly or slide the instant you release the throttle. Careful not to crimp/pinch/k ink the cable or the throttle might stick open in use. That would likely be exciting and probably quite painful

Electronic throttle control

I have a 2008 Road King Classic with (the first year) TBW (Throttle By Wire - replacing throttle cables) and have no problems with it, and it doesn't do as yours does, but acts smoothly like a cable system.

My first suggestion is to take the twist grip off (you have to remove the master cylinder and switch housing) and check it's bore, and the handlebar end it rides on, for any built up crud (rust, dried up lube, etc.).

I have a 95 1100 ACE. Everything worked fine for months, but this last weekend I left the lights on and the battery died. It wont charge with a trickle charger (20 hrs barely got lights on). When hooked to...

Here is my idea ...

If the battery is older than 24 months, I would replace it. When you left the lights on ... you drained it to the bottom. IF it takes a charge, it will be many hours at a trickle if you can bring it back at all.

That is my idea ...

Of couse you can do a voltabe check and a hydrometer check ... I think they will all point to a new battery.

Your battery can not be effectively charged by your alternator ... because for your alternator to work, you have to first put power into it (not self exciting). Since your battery is dead, that method will not work.
