2003 Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC REAR DISC RATTLE,HOW DO I REPLACE IT?

Hello Dale, this is an easy job on your bike. Use a flat head screw driver and remove the brake pad cover...it will pop off.
Remove the hairpin type clips off of the ends of the brake pad pins.... Use pliers & pull the brake pad pins out from the front of the rear brake caliper....Clean the rear brake caliper's piston with brake cleaner. Use a rag and wipe it clean...Reinsert the old brake pads into the caliper. Place a pry bar between the brake pads, then push the inner piston into the caliper body, this will allow room to install new pads.... Remove the old brake pads...Coat the brake pad pins and the new brake pads metal back plates with high-temperature grease.

Slip the new brake pads into the rear brake caliper, then push the brake pad pins halfway into the caliper. Slip the spring clips into place between the brake pads and the brake pad pins. Push the brake pad pins completely through the rear brake caliper. Push the hairpin clips back into the brake pad pin tips. Snap the brake pad cover onto the top of the rear brake caliper....

Pump the rear brake pedal until the pedal feels firm, indicating that the brake pads have closed around the brake rotor...No bleeding will be needed because the system was never opened - That's all there is to it...i hope this information is helpful & good luck with your bike.

Derbi Terra 125 problem with the front brake: brake lever is very hard travels only few mm when squeezed (there's no regulation on lever) brakes are too sharp and sometimes brake pads dont free the...

Hello, Never dealt with motorcycles, still if you are sure that there is no air in the brake liquid, check whether the braking disk/pads are not hooked or (irregularly) worn-out. If this is not the case, replace the braking mechanism (the cylinder which pushes the pads), if too expensive, clean the old one and reassemble with new rubber parts. Please let me know whether I was able to assist.

I have a problem with de rear brake, if i runing and put de rear brake to stop they closed de pads and not runing again the tire not moving

Hello,

It sounds to me like the Brake Calipers need to be rebuilt due to the sticking problem you have described. You can try bleeding your brakes, but I'm pretty sure it's the calipers.

If you find this information helpful, please vote on this post. Thank You.

Hi..i need to no how to fit a new back brake lever to my yamaha thanks

Hello Simon,

If I understand your question, the following should help.

The installation is easy; the brake lever installs using your existing pivot, and the brass sleeve simply slides out allowing for the replacement.

When riding an annoying rattle is coming from

Go to your local autoparts store. There is a blue aeresol you can spray on the back of the pads. This should DEFINITELY help, if not solve the problem altogether.

Hello, My 1999 BMW RT 1100 has twin front floating brembo brakes. They seem to be a little to loose. This is a 30K bike, should I be concerned?

depends. if anything that loose is not so good.but some brake are design to have something loose.u can check your brake sometime there is a bolt holding your brake calliper ,cover /wrapped with a small rubber tube or washer.because some brakes there is a gap and allow your brake calliper to move a little when it brake for full brake performance.
