So I got the front bearings changed after all the hassle with the locked bolt and then the bike fails the MOT because the floating disc on the front moves a fraction when brake is locked making a clunk. It was doing same last year but passed ! I seem to remember somewhere on a forum (might not have been here) a listing of bikes that share the same disc as the Cali 1100i - a 300mm flaoting disc with 5 studs Anyone any idea what other makes share the same disc or how to find out? Can't afford the £400 from Motomecca so will need to Ebay for it Check it's the disc which is worn, and not the centre, I had that problem on the back, and it was the centre not the disc which was worn. Even then I only got an advisary, not a fail, and it was moving quite a lot. Mine is a Spada III, same as the Cali III and Mille 1000. All had the 300mm floating disc on 5 studs. The disc and centre are flat.,,,

Trailer Wiring Cheat Sheet

Hello all,

For those of you that have or occasionally borrow trailers and look at the wiring plugs with disdain (I mean face it they don't make sense, grd is white, +12vdc is black, etc), this is for you.

Plug Types/Application
7 Way - RV Trailers, Horse and Utility Trailers
6 Way - Horse, Stock and Utility
4 Way - Utility Trailers

Columns are: Color, Function, Mark on the plug.

Seven wire Trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:

White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Yellow = Left turn/Brake - 5
Green = Right turn Brake - 6
Orange or Purple (not both) = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Recreational Vehicle:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Green = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Red = Left turn/Brake - 5
Brown = Right turn Brake - 6
Yellow = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Six wire trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Four wire plugs:
White = Ground
Yellow = Left turn/Brake
Green = Right turn Brake
Brown = Tail and clearance lights

Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga

Best regards
Mike

Whats happening when 2001 s10 right rear brake grabs first when brakes applied

check for a leaking wheel cylinder on this side as this can cause sticking and grabbing. it could also be an axle seal leak and differential oil has gotten on the brake shoe and drum. incorrect brake adjustment on this side.

Right rear brakes keeps messing up on a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus, we keep buying new right rear brakes about every two months or less. Can you help us out?

You have to make sure the brake system is operating properly.Change both rear brakes it sounds like the left rear brake side is not working making the right side wear out so quick.After changing the back brakes bleed them making sure you have no air in your brake lines.start bleeding them from the left rear to the right rear to the left front to right front to master cylinder.

Brake light, reverse light and turn signal issues

Hello. The symptoms you are describing are likely due to a poor ground. Temporarily install a new ground wire by securing a piece of copper wire to the frame with a self tapping screw. Use this ground wire along with the hot wire to see if each of these lights works. If it does, trace the ground wire back to the frame, unscrew it and clean up the metal with emery cloth so you reestablish a good ground.

WHEN I TURN RIGHT THE PARKING BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AND BEEPS, BUT ITS NOT PULLING TO THE RIGHT AT ALL AND IT ONLY BEEPS WHEN I TURN RIGHT!

Check you brake fluid level more then likely low, that when you turn brake fluid splashes to one side and trigger your brake light switch in the master cylinder, also have your brake check out, brake pads could be worm which requiders more fluid at brake caliper as brake pads wear, this is being that there no leaks in the brake system.
