Question about 2002 Moto Guzzi California 1100 EV
I have a 2003 EV California which has been in storage for most of its life (sorry
Long story). Today I got it out of the garage (which is clean and dry) with the intention of using it for the rest of the summer. Gave it a wipe over installed the battery and it fired up first time. Then I put it gear and it immediately lurched forward and stalled. Thinking it was me I tried again but the same thing happened. Both the clutch lever and the actuating arm are working. I switched the engine of and tried rocking the bike backwards and forwards in gear but to no effect. The clutch is permanently engaged. At this point I don't want to take the engine apart because I am due to go to Belgium on it next week. Can anyone suggest a fix which doesn't involve an engine strip. Lift rear wheel of ground start engine in gear, pull clutch lever and accellerate/decelerate hard a couple of times. That should free the clutch. I had the same problem once, and this cure solved the problem ,,,
