Then i rode it and it bogs out now i realize that it needs to get more gas and have the exhaust opened up too do i have the right idea i need some input on what to do to fix this!,With any engine, if you give it the potential to pull more air (like you did with your airbox) and breathe better (like you did with your exhaust), you have to keep the balance of fuel by jetting. Hopefully the carburetor on that machine is adjustable. If not, but it back to stock.,,,

Moped 2 cycle, starts but will not run. Changed plug, tested wire and coil, runs for about 10 seconds and stalls?

Hi Jim:
Dolls, Playsets & Toy Figures???? Must be some moped!
On to the problem.
Since it runs a bit, I'd assume that the ignition is OK so would look to fuel delivery as the probable problem.
- If there is a fuel filter, I'd clean or change it.
- Good idea to make sure the air filter is clean.
- Flush the carb.
- Fresh gas in the tank?
Hope this helps

Hy. i just bought a moped or scooter and it won't start at all. the kickstart won't work as when i opend it there was only the leaver and nothing else inside. and the electric start is just clicking on the...

No guarantees without inspecting it but it sounds like a starter issue. Try changing the starter or contact the company/dealer you bought it from and ask. Do no tell them that you will fix it. They like to get paid for labor and I recently had a bad coil but they wanted 75 an hour to fix it. So I just spent 80 on both the coil and control box and replaced them myself, instead of spending $115 for them to replace the bad $40 part. Try the starter. It sounds like a bad one

Im in the process of changing the high/low beam bulbs on my 07 GMC Sierra SLE(New Body Style) and have run into a bit of a problem...allready have changed the Drivers side but the passenger side i was able...

it possibly would be easier to remove the airbox out the way if you remove the headlight it may possibly put it all out of allignment and then you would have to get it re aligned by the garage, so its proberbly better to remove the airbox, it normally is quite easy to replace bulbs but can be awkward hope this helps

Running problem

Why are you running it with the valve cover off? Doesn't oil fly everywhere? Are you sure it's the valve cover you're referring to and not the airbox cover? If it's the airbox cover, you need to clean or replace the air filter. If that doesn't work, write back.

Have problems starting motorbike

Look around the accelerator cable for like a little twisty knob thing that controls the throttle and turn it up a little bit. Basically opens the cabs up and lets a lil more fuel in making the rpm a lil higher and should prevent it from stalling. As for the hard to start problem, Try usung the choke a bit and if that fails give it some gass(if the throttle has been opend and closes when off it may be flooded or try replacing the starter motor and battery.

XR650 MOTOR

the countershaft seal can be pried out easily, just dont do much damage to seal surfaces(on the motor).

as to your jetting problem, put the clip on the main needle back to "stock".

and buy several "main"jets,larger,and,smaller.
"jet-tests"MUST be done after a high-speed test(check sparkplug color,should be "tan")

poping, most all the time (on bikes)is caused by an air-leak somewhere along the exhaust system,

ALSO,when you change:
cams,
airbox,
exhaust's
--it's a GIVEN to re-jet the carb!!
