I have a kymco bug espresso 2005 model 150cc. about to do oil change and just read the bit in manual about gear oil. Does this scooter need that too?

Hi, Sonia excellent question it all depends on how long you have owned the scooter and it's mileage, engine oil needs to be changed every 2000 km or 1250 mi. gear oil needs to be changed every 4000 km or 2500 mi.I recommend 10w40 in a synthetic "motorcycle" (not automobile) engine oil if you can find it, Amsoil and Mobil1 are the best and for the rear differential, SAE 80w90 gear lube is recommended, for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Kymco, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one.
