Satarter I've gotten a problem with my 2001 EXC 200. It all fatally started with a top end rebuild. Naturally the bike would bog down as soon as I open the throttle

But would start fine. I took the head off again too check it out. That is everything loked fine rebvuilt it this time went like a rocket. Couple of mates came down for the weekend rode all day Saturday and was racing with a Gas Gas 200 which it beat. Later Sunday afternon it starts missing tenderly chanbged plug, chewcked carb both fine. The bike did get me home suonding like it was about to run out fuel then would go like hell for a few secvonds before chugging alone again. Seem to go back to what it was like after the rebuild. The only thin I can think of is a electric problem.,I had the carb a part today & gave it a good clean, also droped the gear oil & which was fine. I did think it was the power vale at the very start of the prolbem but as the bike ran like a demon for the best part of two days it can't be that. Finally I stated first kick today and I took it for a rip around the garden. Seemed ok ravin fine not missing then when I was giving it gas in third it would start to miss. I have not got a clue what is wrong with it now and I am not keen to admit defeat and take it to the bike shop at 40 U.S and hour. ,,,

I've got a KTM 125sx 2002 I've done a top end rebuild piston etc and put a new coil and plug on it and the bike won't start with the kicker, only with a bump start took the plug out and its got a weak

Hi, Ian and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

She will loose power and possibly shut down if overheated. Check your cyclinder pressure. Make sure head didn't warp.

1987 rm 125 starts and idols fine, bogs out on take off!!!!

Pull the slide out of the throat of the carb then move the clip at the top of the needle down one notch, two if needed. This will richen the low end fuel mix.

Need a "very helpful" rating asap. Thanks!

How to fill the front suspension on a ktm exc 2001

If you get the sevice manual or contact a dealer to get the correct oil amount for your bike, they need to know the model and year, you have to have the forks off the bike. take the fork caps off, take the springs out compress the upper fork tube all the way and add the specified oil. if they also give you the measured amount from the top that's the best way to get both fork oil levels exact. there is a special tool that you set the oil level in millimeters and it sucks out the oil to the right level, but before you do that step after adding the oil always pull and push on the cartage rod several times to remove air from the cartage tube. you will hear the air coming out and you will feel the changes in the cartage rod as the cartage tube fills up with oil and the air is removed.
something i'm confussed on though is if you replaced a seal you would have had to brake down the fork to replace it. you would have poored the oil into a container, cleaned all the internal parts, and used a fork seal driver to install the new seal. part of your question asks where do i put the oil in? thats in the open end of the fork after you have taken off the fork cap. It sounds to me like you only replaced the dust seal on one fork. that is not going to fix your leaking fork. you need to replace the oil seal thats pressed inside of the top fork tube.
