Marvel Mystery Oil Sta-Bil or something else; Which is best to clean out slightly gummed up carbs?Seafoam is best for cleaning the carbs. MMO in the gas is just an upper cylinder lub, and Sta-bil, is just that, used to stabilize the gas if it sets long.,,,

How to clean a carburetor on a 2006 kawasaki vulcan 800.

If the bike is still running your in luck. Just go to your local auto parts store and get a can of Sea Foam and dump about half the can in with a couple gallons of gas. fire it up and let it idle for awhile until it get a good carb full. Then procede to ride it Hard and you should start to feel the results very quickly. I recently revived an old honda that had been setting for 16 years that same way. I just let the Sea Foam set in the carb over night and went riding the next day. ( Old time mechanics secret carb rebuild.0 Its been around for 60 years or so. Have fun.

2002 Dyna wide glide. Will not IDLE

not running for a year! You have a varnish buildup in the low end circuit of the carb. You will need to remove the carb and do a full teardown of the carb to properly rectify this problem. SOMETIMES we are able to free up the passages by putting SEA FOAM cleaner in the tank , fill her up with fresh fuel and ride through the tank and it will clear up. SEA FOAM can be purchased at an auto parts store and is sometimes very effective. 1/4 cup to full tank fuel.

Because the timing is off. If the timing is too advanced, or too retarded, it will make your exhaust pipe cherry red.
