Well I use PJ1 Oil and Cleaner so I just spray it on and it sticks really well... When you have to pour the oil on try pouring a little into a ziplock baggie and then put your filter in there and seal it, and just rub the filter in the oil and mess with it for a while and soon the oil will have cover all of the filter. or You can put a little into a bucket, and just dip your filter in it and mess with it until it is lightly covered. You'll get a little messy doing it this way tho...,,,

I have a 2006 vento 150 cc scooter 48 miles on it and hasn't been started in 3 years Q - DOES IT A SPARK PLUG TO CHANGE Q- SHOULD I DRAIN THE FUEL OUT AND IS IT USEABLE IN THE MOWER OR WEED EATER

hi.
if it has not been started in 3 years then a new spark plug would probably be a good idea, but not essential if the old one is cleaned.
3 year old fuel should be drained and is pretty much no use for anything. you may be able to start a bonfire with it, but i would not even try to run a machine on it after 3 years.
it would also be a good idea to change the oil and clean the air filter. the battery will almost certainly need changing as well.
there should not be any major problems though.
hope this helps

Need to know if it is ok to run syn oil with the 1.8 turbo

yes perfectly ok ,i would use a turbo diesel oil thats suitable for diesel and petrol engines and the cheapest one at that then change oil every 6000 miles with a oil filter every third oil change ,Do not spend money on expensive boy racer market oil use what the trade uses something like shell rotella and do not be fooled by fancy adverts like liquid engineering and all that stuff these fancy long life oils cause more engine failures than any cheap oil which is changed at regular intervals to prevent a build up of internal clagg inside the engine

How often should I Change the engine oil

every 3,000 miles is the standard however the fluid from the factory and Mitsubishi's recommendation is 6 months or 7,500 miles.. Us old school car guys will still tell you 3 months or 3000 miles.

Need to know what's the best oil for my car. Just bought it.

the cheapest you can buy ,and change it every 6000miles with a oil filter every third oil change .This will keep the inside of the engine clean and the hydraulic tappets functioning .i use a 10/40 turbo diesel /petrol oil on the firm here or 20/50 even a straight 30 depending on whats on offer from the different suppliers because after 1000 miles or so the additive poly meythl methacralate breaks down anyway so paying more for a so called long life oil is a waste of time also it allows clag to form inside the engine gumming up everything from piston rings to hydraulic tappets

May be a little late but...check your oil filter for the long type not the shorter version for vw..With my 97 a4 if the smaller filter is installed at a lube shop it will set the oil light off. They both fit the audi but the smaller one lacks the oil capacity and starves the engine and sets the light off.Even a autoparts store clerk can make the same mistake as ive been there. they are said to be for the same application but are not.
napa #1191 is correct for the 2.8 is the long oe version.

Just got a SMR 510, 2010 model year, first dirt bike I've owned, all previous bikes have been sport bikes...I'm looking for something that looks like a maintenance schedule in the owners manual but I don't...

I had an 07 SMR 510. Loved that bike and I miss it all the time. I now own a Ducati 848 SF and still miss mah husky.
- I would change my oil and filter every 600-700 miles. It only holds a liter so it's gonna go dark faster.
- The air filter should be removed periodically (400miles or less) and cleaned in gasoline. It's a good idea to use filter oil on it (K&N filter oil works best)
-You'll want to call on these guys to order a valve shim kit http://www.halls-cycles.com/. They're husky experts and can answer a myriad of maintenance questions.
- The valves probably need to be checked every 2000 miles or so to keep it running at peak. Single cylinder thumpers are valve maintenance intensive but checking and setting is pretty simple once you are used to doing it.
- Youtube is a good source for that stuff.
- Use chain lube after every 300 miles.
- Beyond that just keep it clean.
- Pop wheelies and live like a hooligan!!!

Oil type choice

For the best results use a full synthetic oil - not a synthetic blend. When you change oil filters add an Engine Sentry to the filter.,,

Which way does the final filter go in? Green side facing in or out? Thanks, Klair

Generally the green side faces out. In all honesty, it doesn't really matter, since the only thing that exhaust filter is really filtering is carbon dust off of the motor, and stuff that leaked through the other filters and already went through the motor, and it's not airtight so most debris just goes around it and into the air anyway.
