First what kind of noise. Plus did you replace the cam chain tenisor when you replaced the chain. That will make a noise in the top end. Other than that piston slap will cause some noise but you will hear it more at higher rps most of the time. I have seen a lot of problems latly where the tank does not breathe properly so it will start spudder then die a few times. Usually it is the gas cap.,

My 20011 triglide will start then die in bout 3 seconds

Sounds like your Immobilizer is on. This is in the TSSM module and may need to be re-assigned to the ECU. This can be done by the owner or by your local dealer. If it "dies" cleanly then this is more than likely whats wrong. If it splutters etc. then possible fuel pressure problem. Harley fuel pressure is approx 60 PSI. when engine is running. Is your alarm working correctly? The Immobilizer is part of the alarm ststem.

Cuts out and splutters will start agai after a few minutes then will do it again

yeah had the same once on a tzr 125 4dl would ride for a short time fine then splutter and die after a couple of mins would start fine and do the same again .. it was the breather on the fuel cap . if blocked causes a vacume stopping fuel from flowing . once cleaned was all fine

Splutters only at junctions plugs are ok

If your plugs are light brown then your fuel mixture is perfect.

But you may have clogged idle jets due to having the bike sitting for a long time without STABIL in the gasoline, may also be clogged fuel screens or filter.

I have a fresh motor, new topend, starter gear?

Check the plug. I have had a very similar problem just recentley yesterday infact. It could be that you are running the oil mixture too rich as well...Good luck
