I was down 1/2 quart. Is it usual to burn that much oil in 700 miles or did the mechanic forget to change the oil at the 600 miles service? Husband bought a duplicate bike and he wasn't down at all. I can see being down 1/2 quart with a total mileage of 1100 miles (maybe) but not in the 700 miles since the oil change. Like a dummy I didn't check the fluids after the initial service. It looks clean, but I'm planning a 1200 mile trip next week and am not quite sure if this is normal...if you experienced guys think its okay, I guess I'll have to make room in my bags to carry oil! Any opinions appreciated...,1. Sounds like the mechanic didnt do his job right. 2. Just have your hubby do it. cheaper and you know its done right.......,,,

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Two months old, 600 plus miles ... I dont know the answer to resetting this light but I believe I would put in a quick call to the fellow who sold me the motorcycle. When you see him or her, ask them to show you all the things you need to know about your motorcycle like where are the tools and the owners manual. The fuses, any special tools the casual rider needs, maintenance schedule etc. It will be time well spent.

your vehicle may still be under warranty. Call your local dealer and provide your VIN#, warranty is 60months/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, 96months/80,000 mile emissions warranty. I strongly recommend contacting the dealer before your vehicle hits 60,000 miles.

How many miles before my 97 deville starts with major problems. and what do i do to keep it running like new

It really depends on the treatment your vehicle has received up until now. I recommend a pro-active approach to preserve whatever life remains in your vehicle. By that I mean scheduled maintennance, oil and filter changes, regular inspections for signs of wear and taking care of issues as they occur. Do not let problems pile up, as you can be overwhelmed. Inspect belts and hoses regularly, make sure you change air and fuel filters, keep it clean and get to know your car. Don't mistreat it!

Oil light flashing, last oil change 7 wks ago

I belive they didn't reset the oil light timer. I belive the sequence is 1. key on (not acc with engine off)
2. step on the brake pedal 5 times within 10 seconds. 3. key off. 4. start car. 5. check if the light went out. you may have to try it a few times to get it.

I bought my 2005 sebring a year ago and it is due for smog check.I put 3,000 miles on the 2.7 litre engine in the last year and it now has 36,000 miles.A couple months ago the malfunction yellow light came...

the 2.7l has a sludge problem. This could cause the stalling and loss of power. There's a few fixes, the new water pump (which is part of the problem) doesn't dump coolant into the oil pan. Easy way to check is to simply drop the oil pan.

750 gpx annual maintenance

600 mile service. Change oil adjust brakes, clutch, and chain. evey week check your fluids and tires. I dont remember what service is after 600 but change your oil more often than not. 3K for conventional and 5k for synthetic is the usual agreement. Other than your oil, cables, and chain. I dont think your next service is till 10K miles I THINK. If you have a torque wrench its a good idea to put all your bolts into spec every week or two, espically the rear axle nut(36mm 72.5lbFT)

Missing oil

very common problem you are burning oil. the piston rings, that nissan used are the problem. We see quite a few of the 3.5 liter engines loosing oil due to piston ring problem. nissan sais that 1qt. per 3500 miles is exceptable, but who want a vehicle that burns oil?? not me. good luck with that.
