SOURCE: Speed increase

I had a small Hyosung 125cc Easy Rider before and it could not go more than 110km/h no matter how hard I tried. So I found the cheapest way to add on the KMHs.I checked my rear sprocket and as i remember it had 45-47 teethso I changed it to a smaller rear sprocket of 39 teeth and immediately I could get an extra 15km/h to it.So an inexpensive way is to reduce the rear sprocket size.It cost me a mere USD3.50 for a local made rear sprocket and some tips to the mechanic. No need to spend a bomb on NOSTURBO etc.,,

I don't have a tack on my bike but 80 is the top speed on my 04 Honda shadow 750 what can I do to change my rev limiter or increase my speed

Sorry, something is wrong here. Your Shadow should easily do 95 to 105 as top speed. Have a motorcycle shop check out what is wrong here. As far as increasing its top speed, you could change the sprocket to less teeth at the rear wheel (then increase the front sprocket appropriately), but then your acceleration will suffer.

Is the yamaha wr125r de restricted from the E C U

Do you mean the maximun speed, if so , yes the ecu restricts the maximun rev's of the engine and therefore the speed. You can change the speed by changing final drive ratio's, chain and sprockets. But if you change on one side you lose on the other, either speed off the line and low top speed or slow off the line and higher top speed.

Hi, my 2003 suzuki epicuro has top speed problem. It only reaches top speed of 70 km/hr. During its top speed, the engine was like choking or like a car that has speed limiter that achieve it top speed....

If it is the original exhaust system, I suspect a blockage, causing excessive back pressure causing lack of performance.
It may be the carb has a blocked choke?
Hope this helps.

HOW TO IMPROVE MY HONDA XR200R TOP SPEED THANKS.

To improve top speed, one solution is to change your gearing, via the chain and sprocket set up. To gain more top speed, you need to replace your rear sprocket with a smaller one, say about 5 or 6 teeth less. Also the front sprocket changed for a slightly larger one, usualy 1 or 2 teeth more. Note, that while doing this will give you a greater top speed, it will not make your bike more powerful. A power pipe, or aftermarket muffler would be a great improvement too.

Yamaha ybr 125 top speed

Hi les
Not much to start with here unfortunatly mate. A free flow muffler will help top end speed, change the factory airbox to a K&N style pod air filter, other than that, hugging the tank at top speed :) If you do change these parts, you may also need to increase the main jet size to richen up the mixture for better tuning of the motor with the better flowing parts. This bike has a top speed of 100kmp and produces 10 hp, so you may only expect to get at best less than 1 extra neddy, and perhaps another 5 km/hr.... I suggest upgrading to a bigger machine of you feel the need for speed :)
If its 125's you are into, test drive a Honda CBR 125R 6 speed fuel injected 13.4 horsepower, and good for 120km/hr
regards robotek
