You will see a lack of performance by removing the stock pipe and doing nothing else to counter the removal. Yes it will be much louder but it can also adversely affect everything in the motor from valving to spark plugs to a significant reduction in engine longevity. rather than outright removal have you looked into an aftermarket pipe? I agree that stock pipes can be a bit on the dull sounding side, but I would recommend staying away from drastic steps such as removing the whole can,,,

Tip

Get rid of the stock CDI use the 04 or 05 cdi

Want to really wake up the motor and feel some awsome power ? Get rid of the stock pipe and silencer V-Force reeds up one tooth on the rear sprocket . And toss the CDI Box replace it with an 04 or 05 CDI box then you'll have pleanty of over rev with out the motor poping or going flat up top the FMF Rev pipe with the short silencer is the way to go keep an eye on your jetting till you get it right use race gas Torco 2 gall race gas to 3 gall pump gas Ultra if you have the money have the carb riffled boared and head redone then look out all 250f's the kx 125 will kick ****..............

I took off the factory mufflers on my suzuki m50 that is fuel injected and put straight pipe on it. Drove it for awhile and now it wont run unless the air cleaner is off. How can I adjust it?

There is no adjustment on the fuel injection model unless you put it on a computer and have it remapped.

When you put straight pipes on the bike, you did away with a baffle that was in your stock pipes.
so now there is no back pressure, and your bike is breathing now.
But it can't breath if it can't get the air.
When you remove the air cleaner it breaths.
So you need to purchase a High-Flow air filter.
If you have an airbox, you may need to eliminate that as well, but start with just the high flow fliter first.
When putting on straight pipes and a high flow air filter , you will also need to increase your carburetor main jet size at least 1-2 numbers:example:stock 120 go to 122.
if you don't increase the main jet your bike will run lean and hot.

Once done you'll be able to crack that throttle and the whole neigborhood will here ya.
Loud pipes save lives.
Best Regards

What should the stock carb jets be for a 94 yz250 with the stock pipe and aftermarket silencer

Stock Jetting for a 1994YZ250 is:

350 main
45 pilot
J8-6EJ33-61 needle

Adjust your jetting down one size for each 1000' of elevation above sea level. Needle clip position on the needle fine tunes the pilot circuit.
