I am getting mileage under 25kmpl of my R15S, how I increase the mileage? I always keep speed between 50 to 60.

Hi, Kunal yes 25 KMPL is very poor you should be getting around 40 KMPL it would appear there may be something wrong with you fuel injection system and since it's brand new and still under warranty I would take it back to the dealer for repair, your main fuel tank runs 10.8 LTR your reserve is 1.2 LTR for a total of 12 LTR the following tips are low cost easy to apply/install and guaranteed to give you better gas mileage and a smoother running bike. The average motorcycle gets 56-64 KMPL. saving .2 Litre of gas could save you a 10 Kilometer walk. 125cc scooters have been known to get 185 KMPL.and more.
1. Proper tire inflation as per MFG. specifications wheels should be balanced and spokes tight.
2. Oil and coolant levels maintained at full marks, low levels produce excessive heat that causes the engine to work harder and reduces efficiency.
3. Keep extra weight to a minimum.
4. Take off from a dead stop should be smooth and easy throttle applied avoid excessive throttle snaps.
5. Smaller windshields get better KMPH than large ones, wind resistance increases as a square of the speed at which you're traveling. For example, at 112 KMPH, wind resistance is double what it is at 80 KMPH (70 squared is almost twice as much as 50 squared). That will dramatically reduce your mileage. Keep that in mind while biking.
6. Keep idle time to a bare minimum or turn off the engine.
7. Re-jet carburetor with a smaller main and mid-range jet.
8. Keep chain/belt properly adjusted.
9. Avoid quick braking, hasty acceleration, high-speed driving, try driving the speed limit and keep a constant speed.
10. On long trips use freeways or flat straight stretches of highways rather than city or rural routes avoid hills and mountains when possible.
11. Keep your engine clean, dirt and grease/oil hold in heat.
12. A full-face helmet is more aerodynamic than other types of helmets. Any other clothing that decreases your aerodynamic should be reconsidered.
13. Any unnecessary bling on your bike is going to decrease fuel efficiency.
14. Use high-quality fuel using low-quality fuel can cause sludge in your fuel injectors.
15. Keep warm up time to a minimum get off the choke ASAP.
16. Motorcycles run best when their engines are maintained, and that includes making sure the air filter is clean, the spark plugs are fresh, the fuel filter is free, and the timing/valves are adjusted.

4 Tips On Making Your Vehicle More Fuel Efficient

Everyone wants to save money at the pump. With gas prices remaining high, most people who drive are interested in ways they can make their car more fuel efficient. Here are some tips that really can help you save money on fuel over the long run.
Fuel Efficiency Tip #1 Drive as soon as you start your engine
This might seem obvious, but as soon as you start your car, you should start driving. Having your engine running on idle will burn gas, therefore you should make sure you're using that gas effectively.

Fuel Efficiency Tip #2 Don't ride your breaks
Many people hit the breaks more often than is necessary. Additionally there are quite a few drivers that slow down for a braking car when they could easily just switch lanes. Not riding the break can increase your fuel efficiency by up to 30%.
Fuel Efficiency Tip #3 Turn off your car
If you are waiting for someone or going to be stopping for more than 10 minutes you should turn off your car to keep fuel efficiency at its peak and prevent your engine from using unnecessary gasoline.
Fuel Efficiency Tip #4 Inflate your tires
Many drivers never think of their tires, unless one goes flat. However, having tires that are inflated can save fuel and make your car more fuel efficient, saving you money. Be sure to should check your tire pressure on a regular basis.
While gas prices don't seem like they will be dropping anytime soon, every tip to help you make your car more fuel efficient is helpful.

My bike tvs centra give 40 kml so i want to increase milege and kml so please guide me

one way is to use efficient fuel. Only ride it down hill with the wind pushing you. The mileage of a bike is a critical factor in the buying decision and also keeping our running costs low. Many of you think that mileage is just about the cost of fuel, but it is not. A bike which gives a good mileage compared to other similar bikes is a sure indication that the health of the bike is well maintained and the rider is careful enough to get the bike frequently serviced and tuned. If you gun the engine in cold conditions as soon as you start it, there would not be enough lubrication in the engine and it leads to more friction which ultimately damages the piston and the engine and hence your mileage will be low. ome basic fuel efficiency tips that you may have already known are 1. Switch off your engine during signals with long waiting periods. 2. Change your oil according to your manufacturer's recommendations. 3. Check your tube's pressure every month... higher pressure than the recommended value would give you more mileage but less friction and stability. So keep it to the optimum value.
