Question about 2003 Ducati 998
Im about ready to remove the rear wheel off my 998 for the first time so I can bring it down to the local shop for a new shoe. Before I do this can anyone share any thoughts or advice or tell me the difficulty for doing this? thx for everyones support!Really easy just the one nut but you'll need a 46mm socket and it will (or should) be on tight. Bike on a stand, remove the spring clip (probably held together by cable tie) put in 1st gear, stand on the brake pedal and use a long handled socket to undo the nut. To refit is the reversal, grease the threads on axle & nut and you'll need a torque wrench to torque up to 176nm (130lb/ft), refit the spring clip (note which way it came off) and fit a cable tie to it to stop it falling off - if the holes in the nut for the spring clip don't line up with one of the axle holes, then torque it a little more until one does.,,,
