Slipper clutch opinions

Thinking of putting a slipper in my 748. Any pro's and con's out there for all the different ones they make? Just put in an STM in my Supermoto bike and like it so far.

Hi have an 88 cbx750 f2 the sprag in the slipper clutch is slipping, installed 2nd hand low mileage unit , better but still slipping above 6000rpm at times

Most of my friends with 88 slipper clutches spray paint their rims black, and it seems to help. One guy actually put new springs in his. Clutches slip because the friction material is worn out or the springs have lost their tension or their spacers. Put a washer on all the spring bolts and see if that helps, if it does, get new springs.

Vehicle running slow with a full charged battery

Have you tried a different battery pack? Also check slipper clutch and motor. The slipper clutch could have backed off. The motor could have brushes that need replace or bearings that need oiled.

TraxxasE Maxx how do you rebuld Slip clutch looks easy .Do you replace pads or replace hole thing ? Ican see how to ajust the clutch when your done but how do you know when it right ? do you ajust tell the...

for a slipper clutch you replace the pads

for motors clutch you replace the pads and springs

and for the brake you replace the pads unless disc is no longer smooth/pads missing then replace disc too

slipper clutch adjustment, hold the vehicle stationary and turn the spur gear by hand, it should turn if not then loosen nut on slipper, if too easy then tighten...............drive to fine tune......it should slip if stopped at full throttle to prevent spur/clutch gear damage

Want a instructuion guide to replace a spur gear.

Replacing the spur gear is not too hard. I normally remove the transmission screws so that the transmission can be tilted up. This makes it easier to replace the gear. Remove the nut, spring, and washer for the slipper clutch. You may or may not have to remove screws from fuel tank and move it to make room to remove the spur gear. The old gear can now be removed. Depending on what type of slipper clutch your truck has, you will have to transfer slipper clutch parts from the old gear to the new gear. Reassemble gear and slipper clutch unit, making sure that everything lines up. Snug slipper clutch nut, and check to make sure that the rear driveshaft has not pulled apart. If it has line up the splines and push it back together. Reinstall transmission screws and check gear mesh between clutch bell and spur gear. Check the slipper clutch the next time you run the truck. It should slip a little, but no more than a foot or so.

'03 zx600rr clutch,will not adjust

I am not an expert on these but it being a slipper clutch it will have to be loose to allow some slippage and i believe that it is centrifigul engaged to tightened .
