Just replaced exhaust - do I need to install chip?

I just replaced the stock exhaust on my 748. The replacement was an Arrow exhaust that also included the midpipe. I think it is a 50mm exhaust. Do I need to also change the chip on the ECU? I have a sil motor chip for a 50mm exhaust but wondering if I need to put it in before I run the bike. Also

Need to replace muffler on 2004 buell blast

If it is a stock muffler then buy another stock muffler and put it on - they are ALL the same. Buell never changed the exhaust on the blast at all. If it is aftermarket(vance and hines) than you need to measure the pipe and find something that fits.

Installed 70cc cylinder ,having stock exhaust ,50 cc cylinder head Mixture is normal but engine overheats after riding a short distance

problem could very well be that stock exhaust system as it was designed for the 50cc cylinder and not a 70cc cylinder.

I get mileage of 25km per litre and i wanted to improve the mileage.. what should i do?

to improve mileage by not sacrificing too much of its performance, you'll need to have a silent exhaust or better, the stock exhaust, stock jets but better flowing air filter element. Replacing the spark plugs to iridium or platinum types would often have better results since it will surely fire better. Usually, a more silent exhaust would prove more efficient than a louder one.

Hope this helps

Clean and dry the air filter? Go back to a stock main jet, at least to check things out? Are "O" ring seals on the main jet going bad?Partial internal collapse in exhaust (remove exhaust pipe & do a quick run down the alley), Install a new stock NGK spark plug, Be sure battery connections are clean and tight, Be sure intake manifold and carb are good and tight.

Hope this helps!

Replacing 748 airbox

I planning to replace the airbox on my 748 with another one. I want to estimate how difficult it will be: I know I need to remove the tank and the airbox runners but will the box then get out easily?he airbox will come off pretty easy you have to pulle off the breatherhose from under the airbox, it goes behind the rear cylinder. also, the funnels on the injectors need to be taken off. I am not sure what kind of funnels there are on a 748 compared to a 996, but you on a 996, you only have to twist them for a 1/4 turn, no more, and then pull, pretty hard, to get them off.,,,
